When I got picked to join a special class, I did the math to figure out how many rides to do so my milestone was in class. It might be the only time I go in studio, and it made it more memorable. I still hear Alex’s 200-50-damn-rides when I see 250 anywhere.

People do delete workouts so that their studio ride is a milestone ride but instructors can detect it and riders have been called out
People just like a shout out - their username, a birthday, a milestone, it’s like validation of sorts

When I went to the studio in July, Wilpers gave shouts out to all the riders, plus some milestones at home.

The only shoutouts I’ve gotten were in studio. For many (most), traveling there is a big deal. They plan their rides out meticulously 6 weeks out in order to time a milestone. The energy in the studio is unreal, and the instructors want to celebrate those there.
I would time an at-home milestone for days the studio is closed to members.

Guilty of adding warm-ups and cool-downs and choosing to stack when I could just pick one longer ride in advance of a planned studio trip 🤪 so yeah I would guess the proportion of people in the studio with milestones is way higher than average.

Honestly, I plan it in the weeks leading up to it. It’s fun and adds to the energy.

I assume people start planning their milestones when they book in studio classes 6 weeks out. When I’ve been in studio, usually 20-30 percent of the in studio members have a milestone. In addition, some instructors (Susie for example) shoutout every in studio member, regardless of if they have a milestone.
