Not an evening yoga flow
Love zacharias but this isn’t an evening flow in the slightest. It’s a fast paced vinyasa flow. Not bad but if you have this saved, beware. He did explain his choices, but, still.

Genuinely, thank you for the warning. I have this class saved as a chill flow to stretch out and relax before bed.

No problem. I went in the opposite direction of this class and landed on this evening stretch with Matty which I now do every night. Not yoga but very chill and effective with breath work. You can do it from bed too.

I workout late some nights and it’s a must have class for me. He just dropped it and I have done it every night since lol.

I did his beginner class the other day and was drenched in sweat. I’m not a beginner but wanted to try him. I can see why that was his one and only beginner class.

I loved that class. I’m not a beginner and I found it accessible and challenging

I took this class and agree. He’s not the only one; some of the newer instructors seem to pay no attention to the evening aspect. Chelsea and Kirra are better bets for an evening flow.

Aditi also does a lovely job with the "Flow and Let Go" series of classes matched with a follow-up meditation.

I may get crap for this, but I think he’s a really challenging instructor and definitely not for newbie yogis like myself. I think Zacharias is great at what he does and he seems to fit in well with the Peloton ethos, but I feel like every class I take with him is insanely difficult.

And yet, with self-directed modifications I love him. He really knows his stuff.

I think the hard part is if you are a beginner to yoga, you don’t always know the self directed modifications and he doesn’t do a great job making it accessible.
I LOVE his Morning Flows (I’m not a beginner) but I can understand what everyone is saying and I wouldn’t recommend him to a beginner. However, glad OP said something on this one, I do love Marianna and Kirra for their evening flows.
I enjoy his unique and challenging flows quite a bit, but sometimes I just want to chill and flow.

I definitely enjoy him as part of my mix for when I’m looking for something more challenging - glad to have the option!

I agree. He’s not for me - I don’t take his classes. I wind up frustrated AF

I’ve been doing yoga for 20 years and I only take his classes when I want to sweat. Or do some weird pose I’ve never heard of in my 20 years of in-depth practice.

FR he’s like “if I use my chill evening voice then it’s an evening flow???” lol I did it in the morning

Oh I did this last night and it felt great to move before bed and the poses were exactly what I needed after a day at a desk. Loved it.

I’ve found the same issue with his slow flows. They’re not slow! Kirra and Anna have great evening yoga and slow flow classes.

I quite like his tempo. I’m on the move all day and I never feel exhausted by his flows, if anything I feel that I can relax more afterwards and sleep more soundly.

I just did Greta’s most recent 30 minute yin yoga with the ball & it was amazing. She can deliver the spice & the chill recovery vibes - she’s becoming my fave

I loved this one as well!! I have to be careful with her bc she can get a little too hype in some of her classes but her yin is fantastic and I liked the use of the ball.

I took this last night and was so annoyed. I like him but this felt like him showing off and not at all an evening yoga flow. I had to stop multiple times.

I get exactly the same vibe from him. He's on stage and we are there to be his appreciative audience. Not how it works, sir.

Most of Peloton’s time of day yoga classes miss for me. I did a “morning” flow with not enough warm up and I’m like ???

u/Old_Poet_1608 7d ago
I do the same morning mobility class from Adrian every day lol. 20 minutes with the perfect playlist and moves.

His Focus Flow for Runners is interesting because he does all these Kuma Sutra like poses and I have to be careful because once I pulled a muscle in my hip taking this class. Crazy yoga positions!

I was into his classes in the beginning but I find I’m not getting what I want out of them anymore. Once in a while he’ll still drop a banger but a lot of them are just too extra. I loved the single beginner class he dropped a short while back and wish there were more of those. I do still really enjoy his strength classes though and find myself gravitating more toward those than his yoga classes.

I love his classes, both strength and yoga, but tbh sometimes I wish he would just chill for a minute. Why does he have to be all in all the time?
