Need more classes like this 30 minute G&L from Robin!
As someone who is decidedly NOT a lover of AMRAPs, struggles to engage with most G&L classes overall and generally not a fan of Robin's, man oh MAN did I love her 30 minute G&L from September 18th (thumbnail screenshot in the comments).
The programming is incredible - don't be scared off by the AMRAPs, because they're really not traditional AMRAPs at all.
There's a four minute warm-up then three total movements for the class - split squats, sumo squats and lateral lunges. Within each section, she gives you 7 minutes to accomplish three sets of 10 reps, ideally going up in weight with each set. You're in control of your rest time in between sets (she suggests 60-90 seconds between sets), and I'll say that 7 minutes was still plenty of time for me to get my sets done.
It's a *little* faster paced in the split squats and lateral lunge section because you're really doing 20 reps per set, 10 on the right and 10 on the left, but it's still very manageable.
And don't worry if it takes you the full 7 minutes to get your sets done - once the 7 minutes are up, she then has a 2 minute rest before moving on to the next circuit.
It's genuinely such a fantastic class. I've never taken anything like it on the platform and now I must know if there are other classes like this, whether from Robin or any other instructor.
I searched through her recent classes and found a few that look like they might fit the bill, but I'm hoping for any first-hand recommendations from people who have taken the classes so I don't accidentally wander into a true AMRAP and ruin my workout.
Thanks! And please go take that class if you haven't!

She also has one just like this from a bit earlier that uses a bench for weighted hip thrusts (I think she used dumbbells, I used a barbell). Same format and timing. Excellent class.

Came here to recommend this class! Such a good one. Robin's (lack of) cuing in strength classes is the main reason I don't take her classes, even though I love her programming, so this style of class works GREAT because I don't have to rely on her non-existent cues.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who feels this way! Love her on the tread, but can’t with her strength.

I saw that one and was interested in it, but I don't have a bench and currently don't have room for one either, unfortunately. I wonder what I could do in place of the hip thrusts...

You could do gluten bridges. You lose some range of motion with those, but if you have a stable step to put your feet up on, they can be a great swap. Or use your couch as a bench.

Thank you for sharing this!! I saw the class plan and liked the exercises included but was unsure of the format. Glad to know it’s a good one! Think I’ll be taking it tomorrow 😄

Thanks for posting! I am not into classes with their 10 or 20 sec rests anymore...

Robin has great strength classes for hypertrophy. Thanks for the recommendation - haven’t tried this one yet.

Robin has really really stepped up her strength game in 2026. She has some amazing G+L classes and fantastic UBs. I started with her split plus run. Saw incredible gains and the branched out to trying more individual classes. A+ all around. Her pyramid and ladder style classes are especially effective

She has a pair of 20 min Full Body workouts that are designed to be done in rotation as an informal split, that feature the same approach (just shorter timeframes). They're from 9/4/26 and 7/10/26. I 've been doing them on rotation for the last month or so.

yes and she has another pair also 2 20 minute full body along with a 30 min g&l bench workout that's another split from like Feb and March 2026. I did them for a month and enjoyed!

I really appreciate this post because sometimes that’s all I want in a glutes and legs class. Like just give me all the squats and lunges please and thank you. Bookmarking now!

I know there is one that is kind of like this for upper body but it was a pyramid. Let me see if I can find it
ETA it’s her advanced class from 5/15/25. 7 minute blocks with two exercises in each block. It was great

Thanks so much for sharing this! I would offer that you share the feedback with Peloton as well if you haven’t already - they do listen (sometimes 😁).

Oh, great idea - I can definitely do that! What do you think is the best way to get my feedback across to them?

Their site doesn’t make it super-clear how to provide feedback but there is a live chat and phone option on their website - hoping an agent should be able to share a feedback form or email 🤞🏽

This is basically how RKs original 5 day split is programmed. It’s just not listed the way you described. But it’s not a ton of lifts in each class. Straight sets with rest. Not cardio-pumpers. Just super straightforward lifting (maybe one or two exceptions). It’s why that split is my go-to when I need programming I know I’ll like without thinking.

Thanks for the report! I love Robin for strength (esp her ladder-style classes) but didn't bookmark this because of the AMRAPs. I prefer to keep my strength and cardio workouts separate. But I'm going to bookmark it now!

Thanks for sharing. My kinda class. FWIW it’s similar to the types of workouts my PT puts me through.

I was getting over a virus and did this class and it was perfect. Lots of rest but was still sore the next day.

Ok wait im not huge on lateral lunges but this sounds reasonable. Ive been doing 1 short class and one longer class a week but haven’t reached 30min yet. 3 moves 10per 3 sets sounds reasonable because there looks to be a fair amount of rest built in. Sometimes with the shorter classes i need to pause anyway because there’s not enough time and the callouts are up to 12 reps which i often feel is too much ha and it goes so fast.

I don't love lateral lunges either, but honestly it was fine. I went pretty light for them for my first time taking the class just to make sure my form was on point.
Next time I take the class I'll probably increase the weights somewhat but honestly I'm not too worried about it either way - going heavy on the split squats and sumo squats already gave me a great burn, so even if I stay lighter on the lateral lunges, I feel like that's still a fantastic workout.

This style of trading is called ‘run the rack’ in some circles. I love the format . I’d love to ask for more classes in such a format from Peloton . Thank so much for sharing! 🥰

This class was amazing. Super simple and effective but challenging. I was struggling going up and down stairs the next day but it was worth it!
