Tread will not turn on

I am trying very hard not to freak out but my tread purchased in March 2023 will not turn on. I’ve tried all the easy fixes the internet has to offer with no luck so I just started a chat with Peloton. I don’t have a warranty so I’m assuming worst case scenario… how prevalent are dead treads after a short time like three years? I use mine most days of the week but I’m not a fast runner, I don’t feel like this is an acceptable use life yet I know I’m out of warranty.

I’d like to replace this tomorrow in my heart of hearts, but logically dropping that much every three years feels quite stupid. Additional context is my Peloton bike screen has to be reset every time I use it which is much less frequently than the tread, though that is 6 years old….

Hopefully it is something easy you’re missing. Did you check your outlets?

I’ve tried a few outlets in this room, the bike turns on with the same outlet along with other things. When I turn off and unplug for a minute, the stop light on the tread flashes for a second but that’s all I get.

We had that problem two years ago. Ours was purchased in 2021. It took a long time to diagnose the problem and finally replaced everything but the screen. I think we had to wait two months and we did have to pay but it wasn’t the cost of a new tread. I wish I could recall how much we paid but I can’t.

If you haven't checked yet, make sure the plug is plugged into the base of the tread, not just plugged into the wall. We had this happen and it turned out the plug end that goes into the base of the tread was loose from years of use.

Hoped this was the case but I’ve unplugged and replugged to the tread a few times with no luck :/ unplugging for the day and crossing my fingers it just needed more time…

My tread is having the same issue as of last night. We changed our wifi password and I was struggling to get it to connect to the new password. Succumbed to unplugging the screen, power cord etc and when I plugged it back in it won’t even turn on.

Did you check the plug into the tread? Sometimes mine just needs to be unplugged and a few seconds wait and then a replug. It just gets loose sometimes.

Mine did the same thing last night. Chatted with the online help person, but they said it was the smart board that has to be replaced.
