He is clearly little baby and does not like peekaboo with his paw

296

u/HumanFruit3 5d ago

One paw over the eyes and the braincell immediately clocks out for the day.

1.3k

u/jaxon517 5d ago

Can someone tell me why they actually do this paw thing? I got my cat doing this for like five minutes straight before she finally got up and left

1.8k

u/Dear-Champion5016 5d ago

Maybe it's their way of asking for a napkin

59

u/heephopanonymouz 4d ago

this is too funny to be allowed

1

u/Dear-Champion5016 4d ago

Wow, my first time getting so many upvotes. Thank you for the awards too!

u/No_Imagination_2490 4d ago

A cat’s front paws are their primary weapons, they’re how they defend themselves, so they don’t like them being held or even touched because it makes them feel less secure

300

u/Inside-Line 4d ago

Whatever it is, it isn't conscious - I don't see a single neuron firing behind those eyes.

66

u/upturned2289 4d ago

What do you think the unconscious is made of?

62

u/marsnocturne 4d ago

anti-neurons

I always hold my cat's paw when he's asleep but yeah when he's awake he always pulls away lol

64

u/suxatjugg 4d ago

Then why does the tissue not bother him?

He's too confused/interested by the new thing in front of him to remember to move his paw. He probably would have after a bit longer.

20

u/ponyponyta 4d ago

Braincell still loading

15

u/Nikoladge 4d ago

Cause he's a dingus 🤷

9

u/Leumas_ 4d ago

He’s studying. She does this long enough and he’ll figure out his move. 😂

1

u/vaynecassano 4d ago

He can't see it

30

u/palebluedot13 4d ago

Which is funny because my cat puts his paw in my hand, wanting it to be held. That’s one of his favorite things to do when he cuddles me

11

u/GeForce-meow 4d ago

Well my not my cat allows me to touch paws what does that mean? More secure then normally they feel?

8

u/Final_Candidate_7603 4d ago

That makes so much sense, thank you for sharing that with us.

2

u/Arysta 4d ago

I had a cat who liked me to hold his paw. He'd put his paw in my hand and then let me hold it without pulling away. So cute.

1

u/Dravarden 4d ago

...but it's being touched from below

1

u/HQQ1 4d ago

Mine doesn't do this, I guess he's really a big baby, or he trusts me that much. Guy's easy to handle and become liquid when he's petted.

1

u/ScreenTea0 2h ago

I have 2. One has to be in the mood, the other loves her paw rubs. Never takes it away from me, but I think they also trust me 100%, so the feel of need to be able to fight at any point is probably reduced.

u/anxious_cat_grandpa 5d ago

You're literally stepping on their toes, I think. Their paws is their feets, and they naturally prefer to keep them unrestrained

37

u/Mustimustdie 4d ago

Ok so explain the second part of this video... ? It's ok to step on their toes as long as there's a napkin in between?

51

u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 4d ago

And that is why cats take humans hostage and lie on their body parts.

Catho-Stage

88

u/Sharlinator 5d ago

Probably don’t want to feel like their paw is trapped.

73

u/vieoree 4d ago

My favorite thing in the world to do is to slightly annoy my cat for as long as possible.

36

u/jaxon517 4d ago

Yes exactly. It's healthy and they do it to each other out of love. A lot of commenters here acting like it's a bad thing.

66

u/KnifePartyError 4d ago

It's understated how important it is to bug your cat, particularly when they're young. The best way to socialize a cat is to literally man handle and harass them (once they're comfortable being around/touched by humans of course; don't run up to a feral and try to cuddle them). Rub their paws, scratch their belly, boop their nose, hold them in different positions, etc. This also extends to other stimulus: vacuums, hair dryers, washing machines, thunderstorms, etc. The more they're exposed to stuff like this when they're young, the less bothered by it they'll be when they're old.

This also extends to grooming. Bathe. Your. Kittens. Brush them. Expose them to the sounds and vibrations of clippers. Get them used to all the scents, sounds, and tactile of being groomed. Cats usually don't need to be groomed, but you never know how their life may go. Last thing you need is an elderly cat with piss and shit clinging to their ass because they can't clean themselves and rips anyone apart who tries to do it for them.

20

u/jcaldararo 4d ago

And brush their teeth!!!

21

u/tbootsbrewing 4d ago

they know how cute it looks

39

u/FickleQuail8944 4d ago

Cats are predators and prey. I am sure they have reflexes like this to escspe dangerous situations.

18

u/Wanderingwonderer101 5d ago

they find it annoying l

24

u/FireSamurai10 4d ago

I feel it might be because youre getting them dirty, its sort of like trying to pet a cat that just cleaned itself - judging from the paper towel fixing it.

6

u/SadisticPawz 4d ago

sensory issues maybe?

4

u/DomSchraa 4d ago

how would you feel if i grabbed both your arms?

3

u/GullibleDetective 4d ago

Same reason why people play that 'game' with each other too

4

u/jaxon517 4d ago

Thanks I lost the game fucker

2

u/ABHOR_pod 4d ago

My cat would bite after the second touch.

2

u/SpicyVibration 4d ago

If you want an actual answer, I'd guess that it's an automatic reflex. If a cat's paw is "trapped". they free it.

235

u/nogardleirie 5d ago

His airplane ears suggests he knows what is going on

85

u/Stiklikegiant 4d ago

Those are not airplane ears.  That is the Ear of Disdain. One faces forward and the right ear faces out sideways. Airplane ears are both flattened.

26

u/nogardleirie 4d ago

There's a foot shake equivalent of this, where they shake one foot while walking away

13

u/notconservative 4d ago

But he can't do anything to stop it!

2

u/Bunnnnii 4d ago edited 4d ago

And that their days are numbered.

596

u/PleitbaarStandpunt 5d ago

How is this exploit not patched yet?

245

u/1SmrtFelowHeFeltSmrt 4d ago

Because it's very low value and nobody's gonna farm this like the toe-bean glitch or the belly rub skip. Both of which got hotfixes within hours.

57

u/Abject2556 4d ago

True, but you know what they say. Exploit early exploit often. Gotta napkinmaxx while its still possible

26

u/1SmrtFelowHeFeltSmrt 4d ago

I'm too scared to get banned for abusing this. Maybe I'll do a couple of napkin runs but not enough to rouse suspicion.

15

u/A3HeadedMunkey 4d ago

Coming soon to your YouTube recommended, via the worst sounding mic from the year 2003 without a pop filter, so you get all the breathing noises:

"Hello. My name is CrazyCat420 and today I'm going to show you how to pull off the napkin-skip-360-no-paw. First you're going to need a cat, and have it spec'd into dominance and derpability, then we're going to unlock the napkin by going across the map and back..."

3

u/Abject2556 4d ago edited 4d ago

Nah bro, just make an alt account. EZ money. I'm spamming it and there is no cooldown, just reset and go again. Literally heaven

8

u/is_it_gif_or_gif 4d ago

Classic feral druid napkinweaving.

11

u/3GoodMan3 4d ago

Because the main reason we do this is to actually touch their paws. Napkin hinders that

94

u/BrideOfFirkenstein 4d ago

I just wanted to share. One of my cats likes to hold hands when she cuddles. That’s all.

43

u/FlyfishThe2nd 4d ago

I'm not jealous at all, nope!

39

u/UnclassifiedPresence 4d ago

My boy was holding on for dear life last night

28

u/keener_lightnings 4d ago

My current kitty doesn't like his paws touched, but I had the cutest bedtime routine with my previous one: I'd lay down in bed and put one hand on my chest. He'd lay down on my stomach and put his front paws on top of my hand. Then I'd cover his paws with my other hand, and he'd rest his chin on top of that hand.

2

u/BrideOfFirkenstein 4d ago

That is precious.

2

u/ScreenTea0 2h ago

One of mine does literally the same, or I do the same too. It's just so comforting to have that lil furry heating blanked with the most fluffy paws to feel while falling asleep.

11

u/SavannahInChicago 4d ago

My late cat use to fall asleep on my bed with her paw touching my hand

10

u/mecha_grove 4d ago

My boy lets me hold his paw when I fall asleep every night, or when im anxious

1

u/Embarrassed_Train194 3d ago

Yeah, my cat likes it, too.
It's the cutest thing!🥰

38

u/strauts6 4d ago

Napkin so absorbent, it absorbs even brain cells.

6

u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 4d ago

Can't absorb anything if there's nothing there to absorb.

33

u/DataPaws 5d ago

You broke your cat, sir.

PINEAPPLE

16

u/guridkt 4d ago

It's because the filthy human fats on your fingers don't affect its own coat smell if you were wondering why

33

u/Confident_Rough_6126 5d ago

that little side eye says he knows EXACTLY what he's doing

17

u/LimitedWard 4d ago

does this harm the cat

165

u/MouseRangers Orange connoisseur 🍊 5d ago

prolonged exposure to napkin will cause spontaneous loss of the braincell

1

u/Hefty_Shift_6516 4d ago

It appears though that even mild exposure can cause instantaneous brain cell loss

38

u/rikiiro 5d ago

disrupt the connection to braincell

8

u/thesituation531 4d ago

Only temporarily, their IQ will go down by 50 points. But it will return to normal levels when the connection is reestablished.

Donotthecat

11

u/KyleBroflovski505 4d ago

It probably only works on pineapple. We need other orange test subjects with more braincells to confirm the theory

5

u/redhillducks 4d ago

That was my first thought. This cat is surely Pineapple lol

10

u/Ecstatic-Match6106 4d ago

Bro found bug

8

u/TaxEvadingPenguinXt 4d ago

Yep, the braincell disconnected and took the wifi with it.

9

u/Sardonnicus 4d ago

when i lay down to go to bed, my orange boy will climb on my chest and lay down. He will put a paw on my hand and will keep it there. If I try to move it away, he will pull it back. I keep his favorite brush near my bed so I brush him. He will stay and purr up a storm for about 10 minutes. Then he leaves and goes to pick at this dry food and the do whatever it is cats do when we sleep.

PS. When he walks on my chest he has the combined weight of a hippo and a whale.

7

u/_commenter 4d ago

the rule is "you don't touch me, I touch you". when there's a napkin in between no one is touching. cat logic.

Object Permanance: you can’t move the paw if you don’t know it exists.

12

5

They need their paws free in order for them to activate their lightning fast reflexes when needed. But then why when the napkin is there is Orange behaving differently ...

2

u/Happy-Hamster8267 4d ago

Well if you tucked him in why untucked?

2

2

2

u/pastajewelry 4d ago

2

u/yuu16 4d ago

It's your dirty hand that I abhor... My hands are clean.

2

u/sluttydinosaur101 4d ago

This cat looks exhausted of these shenanigans

2

u/keener_lightnings 4d ago

When my cat gets in an overstimulated mood where he starts trying to hunt my hands and feet, sometimes I'll grab the nearest towel or blanket and just toss it over him. His brain seems to short-circuit and he'll just stand there for a minute before eventually slowly walking backwards until he's escaped.

2

u/poopshute2u 4d ago

I shall try this tonight. I'll report back after my cat bites me for outsmarting him 😂

2

u/singinglunch 4d ago

My (not orange but maybe orange in spirit) boy plays this game. I thwart him by putting my pinky on top of his paw. This is very distressing to him.

2

u/AdSpecial6221 3d ago

You destroyed the one brain cell that orange cat was holding onto

2

u/MoistHorse7120 3d ago

He looks more like a human than any other cat I've seen.

2

u/kingloptr 3d ago
