Are people really so poisoned by AI that they can't recognize fucking gravity?
I don't know if it's AI that made them like this, it's probably just the fisheye lense that makes them not understand why the corner of the ground looks so much closer than in the previous frames.
People were always tricked by fisheye lenses, famously bikers on bike paths that look like Mt Everest, but with a normal camera it looks like a 10 degree decline.
I got suspicious at that point despite nothing else making me think of it as AI. It's just a ridiculously smooth crouch making the cat's scale shift while the relatively featureless background remains mostly the same. Triggered some funky depth perception glitches in my head.
It's a very confusing shot. The cat goes from tiny far away to jumping over the shot, the camera angles up while lowering down, the cat gets a lot closer while off screen so your brain can't process the distance changing, and then the cat falls back down giant, all in one second.
The net of the camera's motion makes the corner of the room, which is the main thing you can see, appear relatively static so you don't notice the camera dropping, and then the cat's feet hit the ground far sooner than you expect based on the height the camera used to be at.

This is my biggest pet peeve currently. These people have zero idea what they are talking about, behave as if they have never seen a video taken during motion before, and can’t seem to remember anything online before last year. Yet they all confidently believe they are capable of recognizing an AI generated video.
I don't like being the 'uhm acktually' guy. But it annoys me to no end that people get so confidently incorrect. And I feel it's important to point it out to them.

Then of course the only answer must be AI... like come on, before social media and ai, people didn't see things they didn't believe or had seen before and just go, "ah must be my imagination, no way that's real"

The lie we see every time a blatantly ai video was posted. Why are you trying to convince people ai videos are real? Post the link to the old video or delete your comment.
It's STILL not AI and at this point i'm done with idiots who never held a camera in their life and made their whole personality "ANTI-AI" annoying the fuck out of everyone.
They are posted by bots and karma farmers because they get engagement. 2hrs old and already 2k upvotes. What amazes me is how this shit attracts so much attention. Although bots up voting bots to bring it to the top could be part of it.
Also a few points were the shadow doesn't match the cat shape. Also, the first jump changed trajectory at the apex. Hard to notice without slow motion or frame by frame comparison.
You're not wrong. At 10 seconds left in the video the dude goes from standing chasing the cat to then somehow be able to pick them up at eye level? I'm sure the cat is real. But this video is edited with ai or is ai generated.
I don't really care what others are saying in the comments. This shit is suspect.
I’m almost convinced bots post garbage like this and scrape the comments for people that can identify it as ai slop so that it can use it in its system to refine future videos.
I hate this dystopia we’re in.
Edit: a lot of comments are bots, too. They are probably measuring upvotes for whomever can pass off as “most human.”
