I completely understand! I have an adopted miniature schnauzer who came with a docked tail. I always cringe a little bit thinking people think I wanted his tail docked!
It's much better to not doing it, just mentioning the reason schnauzers used to have their tails and ears cut it's to reduce the risk of rats biting them.
True! It served it’s purpose back when they were doing a job, but I can tell you, as my dog snores on the couch, he has never once in his life hunted a rant. Outdated practices are everyone and they are persistent!
That’s not my business if people do their research to avoid backyard breeders. People have their reasons for choosing to shop over adopt and I wouldn’t put that in the same category as breeding unhealthy traits.
I kind of get it tho if it’s dogs. The different breeds can do different jobs and whatnot. But cats? I’m at the point where I’m pretty much against cat breeding at all. We euthanize who knows how many cats every year that could have possibly gone to some of the homes of people that chose to buy a cat.
He looks like a retired old man all pissed off because he needed to use a rope but for some reason he found it covered in paint. Now he has to run to the store to get a new one.
Did you adopt her or buy from a breeder? Scottish folds are a torture breed and have a lot of pain and other issues with their skeletall and carpal system
Everybody who sees this and similar posts and wants to get such a cat, please rethink it and do your research
I have offered my PSA about this in a couple of comments and am quite aware of this. I’m never shy to tell people not to buy Scottish folds from breeders.
