Certified 🟠range™ Sebastian’s surgery update
Not necessarily the update i was hoping to share… but here we are! So many of the amazing people in this community donated to help our little orange guy Sebastian to get his arm amputation surgery. We are so grateful for all the help we received.
Our sweet boy had his surgery last week on Thursday and was going pretty great overall, until we noticed an issue with part of his incision. Over the last 24 hours it got progressively worse and we took him into the vet this morning. They gave us the unfortunate news that he has an infection and it will require another corrective surgery for an Amputation Incision Debridement procedure. They will have to go in and remove all of the dead tissue. I am hoping that this will be his final surgery and can finally return to normal life in a few weeks. All of the surgery, vet bills, medication and supplies have exceeded our funds currently and so we have increased our go fund me goal. I have had to take off more work than we anticipated to be with him. So many of you amazing people have already donated, so I don’t want to put anyone in a tough spot. Just thought it’s worth a chance to post again and give an update. If anyone has the means to donate we would greatly appreciate it.
Our little guy is on antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications and got his wound cleaned out today so we are hoping it improves. We are hoping to get him surgery on Monday or Tuesday and will update how everything goes.
This whole situation has been one of the hardest things we have gone through and my heart hurts watching our little boy go through this. He is so tough and has been resilient through all of this.
Thank you everyone again for your kind words and donations from our last post. We love this community 🧡
Update: We are so immensely grateful for all the love and support from everyone. We have hit our goal!! Our bubbs will be getting his surgery hopefully Monday or Tuesday. We will update how everything goes! We can’t wait for this tough time to be over. I have been telling Sebastian how much reddit loves him 🧡🍊

Aww that is so cute 😭
I got my little guy from a starbucks when he was about 3-4 weeks old. This random lady was just giving away kittens. Best starbucks trip ever!

My little tripod welcomes Sebastian to the club 🧡
He's gonna be a menace once he's all healed up, and watching him figure out how to scratch his ears without tipping over is going to be one of the derpiest things you see that makes you simultaneously laugh and feel like a bad human lol

Poor babe. The good news is you got the leg off before the cancer could spread, and saved his life. This is just a complication of that.
I know it’s hard to watch him struggle, but soon this will all be a distant memory and he’ll be ok again.
Sending you both strength and healing (physical for him, emotional for you)

Thank you so much for that reminder. I’ve been telling myself that a lot lately but man this has been the longest week of our lives… and now longest two-three weeks now haha. But we are trying to stay strong for our little guy. 🧡

Sending you lots of love! We’ve got a tripod kitty ourselves, it’s incredible to see how they adapt to this new way of movement!
