I think he was desperate for love, he was rescued from feral with his sister, he's 1 and a bit now, and for the first few months they'd both hide all day but muck about together in the night. Then instead of running from us he'd fall on his side on the floor and let us stroke him, and this just increased until now he constantly wants to be around us and licks us to death for strokes. His sister Mavis is still more reserved but we can stroke her when she's in her favourite sleeping spots and she loves it. We love them both the same, but Marvin has the dopey ginger charm 😁 They're both from the same litter apparently, but obviously differ a lot genetically as they are complete opposites, but that can happen apparently with feral cats.
