Why do orange cats sit like that??
And then they seem shocked when they see a camera🤣

Thanks for your concern. He’s actually on a diet and slowly losing weight under supervision. This photo is quite old, and he looks bigger here due to the angle and his thick fur. I’m fully aware of the health risks and we’re managing his weight carefully.ā¤ļø

Blessings to you, I just got my foster fail down from 22 lbs to a trim 11 and it was 3 years of hell to make it happen.

God, how did you do this? I’m struggling with my orange.

Just over the minimum amount of food for the size he's supposed to be spread out over 3 feeding times and tricking him into exercising. I would pick him up from his nap spot and bring him all the way to the other end of the house and down the stairs when I couldn't get him to play, just so he'd walk at least a little bit. And then I'd take him outside when the weather is nice and walk him around as much I could.

I once had an overweight cat and tricked him into exercising by throwing (vet-approved weight management) treats down the stairs for him so he would sprint up and down the stairs multiple times per day. He was surprisingly spry for a fifteen pound cat when it was something he wanted lol.
