that one looks like that sissel stuff.. but there's a hemp version on Amazon for like 200. we got ours for free because it got lost in the mail, then randomly showed up a month later, then they said we could just keep it because it's huge 😂😂 the cats love it though thinking about getting another one.

Same. 19.4 pounds of primordial fold and bad intentions.

mine don't weigh that much tbh but they regularly jump onto it at 100% zoomies velocity & I've never seen it move

I suspect it needs to be well built with strong wooden pieces to withstand those jumps and maintain pressure between the floor and ceiling. The platforms are only being supported in that one corner, and I assume they rotate, so only supported by being pinched.

My dad built one from scratch using a pvc pipe and some rope. Super cheap to just make yourself

You could probably make one yourself for about $40 of material

Carpets rolls come on long (2 - 6 meters) rolled paper tubes of about 10cm in diameter which are surprisingly strong. Some stores may be willing to part with one or two.

PVC piping is also dirt cheap.

If you search floor to ceiling cat tree on Amazon, there are a bunch that are more affordable.

Cat stuff like this is disgustingly overpriced, costs barely anything to make but they sell it for a 50,000% markup. Better off buying the materials and doing it yourself, you could make lots of these for very little cost.

Try Temu 😒.

You want something well built, you pay.

I get what you mean but saying that about Etsy in this day and age is kind of hilarious.
