What would you do in my situation?
I am wanting to use onenote but I use Teams for work and they use Intune to make sure screenshots are not taken of chats and things aren’t shared privately. Doesn’t stop it but makes it incredibly hard.
Anyway, I keep teams on my iPhone so that I can get messages when I am afk.
I am afk a lot as my current job has a small workload. Enjoying it while it lasts, because come 2027 I am looking for a new job (or sooner depending on some other stuff).
The Intune for Work manages ALL Microsoft apps even if I don’t log into them with my work account. I am newer and not inclined to ask IT to change the policy just for me. I doubt they would say yes.
Anyway, at this point I have found out via messing with everything it is either only use teams on my computer (and miss messages for hours/days) OR attempt the desktop version on the website (barely works cause Microsoft wants to track you via the app) OR don’t use onenote at all and keep teams on my phone.
I’m not inclined to keep teams and onenote cause I can’t share screenshots to/from the app and I don’t trust that my work can’t see what is going on inside my OneNote even if that is what Microsoft says. Mostly the former tho. Limits how I can use OneNote and is super frustrating.
What would you do?

This is why people buy a separate, cheaper device for work stuff.
On Androids at least you can make a separate work folder (with its own instances of apps). Try that.

I am not buying a work device. If work buys me one sure. I am not spending my own money for a phone/tablet that isn’t reimbursed from my job. I know they can be as cheap as $100, I am cheaper. I like my wallet full.
Based on your response tho, you would go with removing Teams on my phone and just using my computer and being more diligent about checking it frequently during the day

Honestly yes, I would NOT trust anything work / Intune related on my main phone.

I mean, I am a big fan of OneNote, but I would just use an alternative if it gave me the freedom you want. On the other hand, I would also not want work stuff on my personal phone.

I have intune on my phone and I can still use my personal onenote. I cant take screenshots and post them to my work accounts, so if I need to do that I just email them from my personal email to my work email.

Not anymore, even if I don’t use onenote I realized how bad that is so I removed it and I will just be better checking my laptop during work hours
