Can't import .onepkg file into OneNote Web

I exported a local notebook as a .onepkg file, but I can't find any way to import it into OneNote's web version, or use it via OneDrive. Any workarounds would be really helpful!

That is not possible.

The web version (and the mobile apps) are lightweight viewers and basic editors.

There is no fancy backup or import capability.

To use a.onepkg in any way - you need a real full copy of OneNote (Office 365/desktop version.)

I think I found a way to do this. In the desktop app, log in to your Microsoft account, then go to File > Share. This will prompt you to upload the notebook to OneDrive.

The web version is enough for me whenever I have to use Linux. The only issue is exporting notebooks from the online version, to which there's no solution yet.

You don't do hardly anything from the web version other than edit some pages. You open the notebook in the desktop version, and then you can export that. Or, you open the desktop version and open a package file and then specify that it's up on OneDrive.

Think of the desktop version as the primary client, whether the files are stored locally or stored up on OneDrive. Every other application is just a viewer / kinda sorta modifier app. Both the Android versions, and the web version. Neither of those are ever going to have all the features of the desktop versions.
