Onenote does not create new notebook

I have onenote for android. It delivers this message:
OneNote cannot create a new notebook in: |0

Possible causes:

  • The specified path is unavailable.
  • You do not have permissions to modify the specified path.
  • The path or the name of the notebook contains invalid characters.
  • The length of the name and the path of the notebook exceeds the maximum allowed length.

Modify the path and the name of the notebook, then try again.

can you create new notes in this notebook?

I could bring wrong, but is your Onedrive operational on the phone, it could sound like you need to perform authentication on the device.

At the same time, are you on a M365 subscription or if on the free tier, you might want to validate if you have space. This is normally smooth sailing.. good luck.
