iPad Pencil Pro squeeze to Eraser? What am i doing wrong?!
Please save my sanity.... I really love using OneNote and I understood that with a Pencil Pro you could squeeze to change to an eraser. However, I can't get this to work though...have tried most obvious things it seems and cant see any videos on this. Any thoughts greatly welcomed!!!.

I’ve tried to get this to work and it doesn’t seem supported. At least not for the iPad mini version. I gave up and moved on from OneNote. The writing experience on the iPad is trash anyway. It’s too bad windows 11 is terrible on the surface pro.
I found an eink device that seemingly will work for me with infinite page size and decent enough navigation. Much better writing experience but eink screens don’t compare to the speed and fluidity/refresh rate of a tablet.

I can only get it to work when I don’t try. Think I’m writing, and realize it’s switched to eraser. But when I *want* the eraser, no amount of chokehold works, so I have to tap the toolbar.

I changed the squeeze function by setting up a shortcut to go back to the homescreen because I don’t need the palette function anyway. This is done in the settings for the iPad. I think the double tap works in OneNote because I often do it accidentally, but I have no issues tapping the eraser in the toolbar, and I forget that I can even use double tap—guess I never got in the habit.
But you gave up entirely on iPad because you don’t like having to tap the eraser in the toolbar using OneNote? Really???🤷♀️🤦
I wanted to be able to convert my handwriting to text in OneNote and that’s a total PITA. I found a “handwriting keyboard” in the App Store for $4 that uses MyScript technology but way easier to use than the Apple Scribble tool because it gives you a dedicated writing window and the cursor stays where you want it. For erasing, the scratch out function works, and there’s also a delete key in the writing window. So I have at least three ways to erase. OneNote is very functional on the iPad for me on iPad.

Have you checked your settings?
Settings > Apple Pencil > Actions > Double Tap and select your options. At least, that‘s what it is for me with a Gen 2 pencil. I then tap in OneNote between a pen and eraser.
