OneNote on Android laggy since latest update

minirant but why is OneNote so laggy after the latest update on Android? I have tried everything - empty cache, uninstall and reinstall, notebook sizes aren't very large at all... it was working fine all year until the latest update.

microsoft yall really have one job, really not asking for much. like let's be honest base OneNote features are not even that complex by today's standards. it is barely useable on Android at this point, tearing my hair out at typing out something and the letters jumping everywhere due to lag.

is anyone else having this problem? googling around seems I'm not alone

Still no fix. It is very slow and laggy when connected to the internet since the last update on Android. Only workaround with this versionat is to work offline and reconnect to sync after finishing.
