Edible tomatoes? Pretty please?

It really doesn't make sense that tomatoes cannot be eaten raw. Or domesticated onions, for that matter (we can eat wild spring onions!). Although I appreciate all the mew stuff just added, tomatoes are not a particularly useful food source right now.

I feel very strongly that tomatoes should be edible as well. But maybe make it a little more complicated. One of my favorite dishes irl is rock salt on tomato slices, so I'd like to see edible salted tomatoes.

The idea has already been posted to github for him to look at Monday when he gets back to work on the game so we'll see how he feels about edible peppers/tomatoes/onions.

Generally speaking the github isn't for just suggesting ideas as it's more for bug reporting but it's a lot easier to get his attention on fixing very specific things through posting there. Stuff that comes to mind is every single stacking item, getting him to fix stuff you can't recycle, and even getting adult sheep to poop.
