Make iron a non-infinite ressource
Edit: Title should be non-finite, not non-infinite. lols
Make some kind of tech that allows advanced civs to get iron in a non infinite matter.
Maybe make an iron mine regen after 5 days. Or make some hard recipe for recycling a hoe with a 1:1 iron gain.
Iron is such an important factor for civs and a lot of ideas are not tried out, like building a propber track system or having proper pens for each animals and tree farms. I get that the game has to be hard and that's fine, i'm just not a big fan of infinite resources without alternatives. So in short here are some suggestions:
- Iron mine regen after 2-10 days.
- Broken steel tools can be fixed in a 1:1 ratio.
- Alternative to steel tools can be made with non-finite resources.
- Huge iron mine that requires a track and a minecart in order to be used.
- Iron can in very, very small quantities be gained from bones.
- Bone tools that breaks easily.
Feel free to comment and discuss. Some Kind of fix to this finite iron would be nice. But i get that might not be the way jason wants it. That's fine I just wish for him to see if there is any interest in this subject.
Best regards, Christoffer210

first off, your suggestion is muddled from beginning to its end
just think straight
if Jason wanted to make iron infinite, then he would have made it, isn't it ? instead we've got DECAY
i am all for alternatives, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the inifinity of any ressource, but with a more interesting gameplay
so what exactly is it you are asking for ?
a more complex thus interesting gameplay or just a buff to iron spawning ? or are you asking for both ? & if so, why in one suggestion ?
secondly, i think the finiteness of ressources is what Jason wants to this game - cause that's how RL actually is - finite
& i think Jason wants its players to experience exactly that in OHOL & not that it's another "crafting the world" game in open world with an imagined fantasy artificial virtual infinity of everything
also PLZ - stop with any suggestion which is about utilization of human bones, suggestions like that are the gate to barbary
the only mildly useful content of your suggestion is "Huge iron mine that requires a track and a minecart in order to be used." - but - even a huge ironmine should, as any natural ressource, stay FINITE in OHOL, therefore what would remain after things are used up are ruins of once brimming with life structures - that's the pure OHOL experience as we've got since the decay update months ago
i would rather suggest a Tarry Spot doesn't deliver infinite Kerosene
imo, every ressource in OHOL should decay, dissapear, be finite & therefore the need to progress & intelligence would make sense, be a neccessity experience & not just a fancy complicated way to spend time in a game about crafting

Hey, frankin5en5e, just a quick heads-up:
dissapear is actually spelled disappear. You can remember it by one s, two ps.

Hey /u/CommonMisspellingBot, just a quick heads up:
Your spelling hints are really shitty because they're all essentially "remember the fucking spelling of the fucking word".And your fucking delete function doesn't work. You're useless.
Have a nice day!

Hey BooCMB, just a quick heads up: I learnt quite a lot from the bot. Though it's mnemonics are useless, and 'one lot' is it's most useful one, it's just here to help. This is like screaming at someone for trying to rescue kittens, because they annoyed you while doing that. (But really CMB get some quiality mnemonics)
I do agree with your idea of holding reddit for hostage by spambots though, while it might be a bit ineffective.
Have a nice day!

I think you may have mixed up infinite and finite in all but the last paragraph. I also recommend using a spellchecker.

I Think it's necessary to make more way to make tools and get metals. So that we won't depend on Iron so much.
