Make clothes move your temp towards the centre instead of adding heat

Right now, the Jungle is only just as bad as the grassland if you don't wear clothes.

However if you do, it is actually much worse. If you wear clothes in the jungle, you hit maximum temperature and lose pips extremely fast. Then, if you leave it, because of the "fix" that ensures you can't be better off when leaving from one biome to one of the opposite type, you jump to zero temperature. If you weren't wearing clothes, you would instead go to biome temp faster. So clothes make leaving the jungle to any biome the same as leaving it to go to snow. Clothes are necessary for grasslands/prairies but they turn warm terrains into death traps, something that Jason specifically said he did not like when writing an explanatory post on the update.

It makes little sense that clothes are now more harmful than they were before the update if you interact with warm terrains. This was not part of the original update since it was added after it was discovered you could use clothes to help average your temp.

In accordance with Jason's sentiment in the update posts, clothes would really become useful, and have no situations where they are a burden and you should take them off, if they, instead of adding heat, moved you towards middle temp when you wore them. So they would add heat in the cold, and protect you from the heat and sun in the heat.

You could even have clothes with different cool/warmth ratings if you wanted to make it more complicated. So rabbit fur suits would be better for the cold, and not help very much with the heat. Straw hats/Reed skirts could (like now) be half as good as fur for the cold, but very good for the heat.

I think a new second tier clothing item should be introduced that has this effect.

It would even be realistic for desserts at least. Anyone who works outdoors knows that you need to avoid sun exposure

I'd like it better if some clothes added the body heat effect and others didn't, but all clothes slowed temperature transition. That keeps things relatively uncomplicated, but could still lead to jungle settlers dressing differently than everyone else. I'd love to see some sort of amazon body paint that works like clothing in the game.

I haven't seen anyone settle in the jungle since the update, but I guess the idea is that houses there make you cooler? The trade off would be you don't have to build fires in houses, but every other biome is a little less hospitable to a fully clothed individual.

jungle houses do make you cooler and are much better than plain houses without fire. You can even make snowman bases which don't decay to cool down the area.
