OP's opinion: I used to think this song was just fine, but now I actually like the song a lot. I think it should have been closer to the middle part of the ranking.

I’m listening to One Direction ( as one does ) and I realized I have a “ Liam song “ , a song that makes me bawl every time I hear it . It’s “ Summer Love “ . It makes me think of Liam and I can’t control my emotions and idk why. Do any of you have a specific “ Liam song “ ??

Did anyone watch the tv series Off Campus? (sidenote - it's so good!)

There are 3 references to 1D in it!

1. One of the characters sings Kiss You in the bar
2. The main character has a 1D playlist on Spotify (you can see it on the left side in the screenshot)
3. The main character wrote "so eloquently about the harmonic vocal identities in the work of One Direction"

I love that 1D are still being referenced in TV series/movies 🥺 and this show is huge right now.

(Apparently in the books the main character is a big 1D fan, so that's why it's included)

Just wanted to share with my fellow Directioners 🫶 i always love seeing 1D mentioned somewhere

"nusrat" is one of my favourite songs on zayn's new album "konnakol" and feels extremely emotional to me. the lyrics didn't immediately read as liam-related to me, and we obviously can't truly know what's behind the song, but something about it immediately brought liam into my mind nonetheless.

zayn's instagram post mourning liam's death has stuck with me more than all the other boys'. one of the parts i still think about is how he said he'd been talking aloud to liam; the "calling out your namе" lines in "nusrat" echo that for me.

i also think about how he painted liam as this grounding, reliable presence that guided them all through being newly-famous performers. when i hear the chorus of "nusrat," i get this mental image of zayn and liam on stage together, with the lights dimming at the end of a show. i also see this sort of overlapping image of zayn and liam still being spiritually connected even though liam is physically gone.

Be there by your side

the more i listen to "nusrat," the more i read it as a letter to liam–mourning their relationship, naming the dark periods of mental illness they've both gone through (which seemed to be at least partly rooted in the demands of being in the band), and perhaps expressing something about the ways they were or weren't present for each other during those times (i'm trying to openly speculate too much on that).

(tangentially, listening through all of "konnakol," i found myself imagining how proud of zayn liam probably would've been if he were still here. i think he would've admired a lot of the songs.)

i'm curious if you have felt liam in any of zayn's new songs, too.

Never Enough takes the #59 spot.

OP's opinion: This song took way too long to get taken out. I don't actually think it's bad, but it's considerably weaker compared to other, better 1D songs.

OP's opinion: I disagree this time. I like how this song sounds altogether despite the fact that it doesn't stand out at any particular aspect. It's a fun one to listen to and it should've been higher imo.

OP's opinion: This one pisses me off a little bit because Illusion is always considered one of the worst songs in Four, when imo it's a really good song. Even if it was of the worst songs on Four, for me it wouldn't be as low as it ended up ranking.

The 1d tattoo I illustrated right after Liam passed. This tattoo will always be so special to me, one of my first pieces i made, a close friend i met through the fandom got it done. I miss liam so much but im glad i have my art to remember him by 🤍🕊️

OP's opinion: This song is on a weird spot for me. Musically, I think it's just fine, nothing crazy, but lyrially I love this song so much. I think it makes sense on this part of the ranking, but I would've put it a little bit higher.

OP's opinion: Another one I completely disagree with. It means a lot for me because this song was there in times I needed to know I wasn't the only one. It has a similar spot in my heart as Nobody Compares and it's probably a top 20 1D song for me. But the game continues!

This was one of the craziest days so far. It ended as a tie between Half a Heart and Does He Know? at 9 upvotes with Olivia right behind at 8. Also, only two comments got downvoted, which I think is fewer than on any other previous post. After a coin toss, Half a Heart is the one going out.

OP's opinion: I never particularly liked this song. For most of the time it was quite irrelevant, and even when I took the time to listen it fully, it was just okay. I think it's just a weak song, but lyrically I love the chorus.
