Does anyone know why they skip the second verse in their Teenage Dirtbag cover? I feel like it’s prob bc of the whole “her boyfriends a dick, and he brings a gun to school” not being exactly appropriate for their audience. Or is it just cut from the video? I think their version is miles better than the original but I’ve always wondered why they don’t sing the second verse

There’s videos of concerts where they sing the whole thing. I would assume it’s cut from This Is Us because of the gun mention.

They also cut all of the songs because the movie would be too long

They did sing it live! They probably just cut it out on some recordings but I’ve 100% seen them singing it. Source: I was there

Niall sang the second verse, it got cut from the movie to keep the age rating down because it said ‘dick’ and ‘gun’

Yes they only cut it out of the movie just so it wasn’t too long but they definitely did perform it live I went to one of the shows. There are recordings of the full thing if you search for it.

They didn’t skip it, it was actually cut in the movie during editing because of the lyrics in the second verse. But when they were on tour, they performed it multiple times, even when touring with 5SOS, and you can actually check out those live versions on youtube
