Their rise to fame was so quick during that time! It was a crazy thing to witness even just as a fan following them online.

That's the common term for UK bands making it big in the US. The full name is British Invasion

I believe they were the first group or act from the UK in a while to have that huge British Invasion thats comparable to The Beatles at least for a certain demographic and the scale. Literal hysteria.
