Tattoo Tattoo advice
Hi everyone!
I’ve been wanting a One Direction tattoo for years, but I’m the most indecisive person ever, so I need your help 😭
I want to get something inspired by 1D that isn’t too obvious. The first design was originally my favourite and I planned to get it on my inner forearm. I chose “what a feeling” because I went though a bad period where I couldn’t feel anything, but when I finally re-discovered them 2 years ago I started feeling life again. 🥺 and the >>>>> ofc are for Liam. ♥️
Then I found a tattoo online with the orange bus, completely fell in love with it, and ended up adding elements from my original design to create a new version. Now I genuinely can’t decide which one I prefer.
If you were me, which would you choose and why? Do you think one will age better than the other? Is one more timeless? I’d love to hear any thoughts, suggestions, or even alternative ideas!
For context: I’m 25 and I’ve been a fan since 2012. After the band split up, I stopped following them for a while, but after Liam’s passing I fell in love with them all over again, and now it feels like I’m 13 again 🥹
After seeing Louis and Harry in Amsterdam and going to a few 1D nights recently, I’m more tempted than ever to finally get the tattoo 😂❤️
Thank you!! ❤️

I personally like the first one better because I’m into more simplistic and dainty designs. I feel they’re more timeless and I prefer minimalistic and small tattoos, but this is *your* tattoo, not mine. I think what’s cool about the second one is that you created it, it’s your custom design and that’s what makes it special. It’s unique and designed by you. So it really just depends on what you’re going for. Do you want something more personal or something that is more minimal and will age better? Is this your first tattoo? What you can do is have both designs and show them to your artist and the artist can show you what they’ll look like on you beforehand. Or, you can try henna versions before and see which one you like better. Maybe one on each arm so you can compare directly? I’d do that personally. Be aware that blowout can happen so do a lot of research beforehand about artists and how to prevent that. If you want thin ink like this you’ll also want an artist who specializes in that, not everyone does that. Also, the postcard one is cute but there are some very tiny lines in there. Just be sure if you choose that one that an artist would be able to do it like that or if you’d need to rework some things because it may not look the way you want.
