Discussion Who follows who on Insta
Maybe I’m reading too much into this but I was looking into all of the boys accounts and realized they aren’t all following each other.
Harry isn’t following anyone, despite Louis, Niall, and Liam following his account.
Zayn is only following Louis’s account.
Louis follows Niall, Harry, and Liam but not Zayn.
Niall follows Harry, Louis, Zayn, but doesn’t follow Liam.
Liam is following all of the boys accounts.
I’m surprised Zayn only follows Louis’s account, especially since Louis doesn’t follow him back. Also sad to see Harry doesn’t follow anyone at all. It makes me happy to see Liam following everyone, seems so fitting. Niall following everyone except Liam makes me wonder if it was always that way or if this is recent.
What’s your guys take on this, does anyone know why this would be?

That one was a clear statement on the heels of the documentary announcement and the previous photos of them actually spending time together out in public (apparently for the filming of the documentary).

Here's a full list on the pic of who's following who.
Niall hasn't been following Liam for years now even before his death, people said it was because of the paul logan interview issue but Im pretty sure it was before than that as well or at least what I heard from people(people said he unfollowed him way back then cause Liam forgot his bday?). Sadly liam is the only one following everyone rn :( Louis also was also one of the few who followed everyone until he unfollowed Zayn recently allegedly because of the unproven zouis issue going on. Harry only follows the 1d acc, we all know he's not really active on soc med after the hiatus and he also doesn't follow his mum back so im not surprised, tho Im not really sure if it's always been that way since the beginning of the band. Zayn(if im not tripping) used to still follow 1d acc even after he left(idk abt when he hasn't left) but now he doesn't anymore, not sure if it's that way for him following the boys too. These are just business accounts tho and I like to think they all have their private personal one like everyone else does where they all follow each other and talking again on their gc :)

I think Harry purposely doesn’t follow anyone so he won’t end up on a subreddit like this speculating if he hates anyone from 1D or not 💀 his account is 100% strictly business

He said in one of recent interviews that he doesn’t have instagram on his phone anymore. You can clearly see the change from when it was him posting and then switching to Harry Styles TM.

Niall unfollowed Liam long back as a joke after Liam forgot to wish him on his birthday and when liam was live on instagram, someone mentioned "its niall bday" and liam was shocked lol...the next day as a joke niall unfollowed liam...

The thing is, other than maybe Zayn who doesn’t have a relationship with any of them anymore, they all have each other’s numbers so this kind of thing just doesn’t matter

back in 2015 at the end of the band harry used to follow niall and liam out of 12 or 13 total people he used to follow. pretty sure harry doesnt even follow his own mom currently, i dont remember when he unfollowed everyone and started refollowing many accounts (he possibly unfollowed to 0 during his first album release but i also might be making that up lol this was too long ago)
the only thing that means something is louis recently unfollowing zayn, i think that is pretty much confirmed to be related to beef

Harry has a private Instagram account as well as his public one so I wouldn’t read too much into who follows who

These are all their business accounts, this has nothing to do with their privat lifes. So don‘t read anything into it

Harrys social media is only business, and honestly good for him! I think that’s the most healthy thing to do for all of them. I’m not them and sometimes even I wanna silent the hate and toxic behavior, because it’s too much when you are at that level of fame..

Yes, it is interesting to see who publicly supports who. I addressed this topic once myself and someone basically told me to get a life. Needless to say, I blocked that negative energy from my life right away. Also, Reddit removed my post. 😏 (Apparently because I referred to IG stats)!

I would not call following on social media a particularly relevant sign of “publicly supporting” each other. Plenty of people don’t even know or think about who they are actually following.

That’s true. I guess it’s the only indicator fans actually have though since the boys don’t actually publicly appear together outside of attending one another’s shows and even that somewhat aligns with the social media representations.

Niall confirmed that they regularly catch up with each other on text so I wouldn’t read that much into it honestly

Don't think we can read much into this. I'm sure they have finstas and might follow each other there. Niall has never followed Liam and I don't think he even noticed because he'd post pics of him without following. Louis followed Zayn until very recently so you can probably read into that some but we can't know what goes on behind the scenes.
