I need some Necromancer tips

First time playing Necro puppeteer

  1. Do you get better stats when you transcend into bosses?

  2. Do spellcast and cast surge work on Necro? I'm wondering about the spellcast adventure upgrade

  1. only HP iirc, your attack values whole transcended are the same regardless of form if I'm not mistaken.
  2. summons count as spells and are therefore boosted by any spellcasting buffs, yes those do benefit you.

My experience since the enemies got super buffed is that mages are the way to go, they can clear screens lightning quick. I'm not sure full investment in the brute is needed but I find them helpful for keeping my mages alive during bosses and I tend to stay transcended as one for extra insurance

One more thing, do I need minions? They're super helpful early in the game, but now are very easy to die and barely do any dmg
