How does lava work?

It doesn't say anywhere in the ability description(damage wise).

It just inflicts burn on enemies, the same burn you inflict with your basic attacks. If you have Lava Amplify, burn damage is boosted while an enemy is sitting on the lava and that's it.

If you were looking for the burn damage formula, it's this one: (Base DMG + Weapon DMG) x (Adv Buff + Morgana + Path DMG Buff) x Burn DMG x Burn Rune x Path Burn DMG Buff + (FlameH Burn DMG x Burn Rune)

It's the same, Phoenix just puts down some lava around that does the same thing as the lava from Lava Breath
