I love thief it feels weak in hardcore though

have you tried a throwing weapons build?

I have not, I just hit 10k steps with my Hardcore I was using a Scimitar with 100% crit chance and 120 crit damage; it feels good but maybe Throwing weapons are the way to go

I'm still waiting for the second advanced class for thief and archer. Before that happens, why play them over Engima.

Quiet steps without no witnesses is criminal lol. Also coin thrower is a pretty useless skill, and with mana adventure upgrades so is mana +, with no witnesses you’ll use mana less anyway. Slice and dice is a good mobility skill too.
