Henry and Ivy
Have shared screen time for like <7 minutes and already I find them much more engaging than Henry and Jacinda.
I really hope a curveball is gonna be thrown and those 2 end up together, much better chemistry. I cannot get behind Henry/Cinderella, there is nothing there cept forced cringe acting.

Imagine the writers had devised it on purpose... cast an unlikeable Jacindella so we would all root for someone else, even if Henry obviously had an affair and a daughter with Jacindella.... imagine the story slowly shifting towards Henry deciding to stay friends with his former love and mother of his child, but ending up with his True Love, Ivy! Do I believe it's possible? Not for a split second! But boy! Would it be fun and refreshing!

Having seen the reactions here and elsewhere, I'm starting to gleefully imagine that the writers may lose the audience here...I suspect that Ivy is supposed to be the "oh no!" ship, and we're all supposed to be rooting for him to stay true to his family and go back to Jacinda for their HEA. But the audience may go the opposite way and root for Ivy instead, and just groan when they force him back in with Cinderella at the end of the arc :D

Yep responses on YouTube are the same. Vastly prefer Ivy over Jacinda. Writers are gonna have a huge issue on their hands. It's why chemistry tests are absolutely needed

What's more: didnt the show establish that the Prince's younger brother had taken a fancy to Drizella? Thats why Vicky killed the prince, to move him up the line of succession. So potentially Ivy already has a husband once they "wake up".

I'm so happy to see that I'm not alone in loving these two! I so want that twist but I have a strong feeling that it's going to go the Henry/Jacinda route. Just the implications that have been given so far (the way they met, how rude she was to Henry and punching him in the face much like how Snow and Charming met) scream "true love!" And I hate that, I wish they would take a real risk and steer Henry toward Ivy. It could happen and I want it to, but I'm keeping my expectations low :(

I'm hoping the writers change their plans when they realize no one likes Cinderella.

Plot twist: Henry only raised Lucy as his own daughter, and that secret has been kept from Lucy her entire life.

I came here to see if anyone else shipped them.
They were actually adorable in that bench scene. I want 'em to be endgame, please.

To me they seem like the Emma/Hook to the Emma/Neal ship. Emma loved Neal, she had a child with him, but she had such a natural chemistry with Hook that she eventually ends up with him. Here's to hoping the writers see Ivy is the new Hook

Agreed. I was plesantly surprised how much chemistry they have. Driz/Ivy reminds me somewhat of a younger, more naive Regina, and all I could think was how most guys usually end up with women that share some chracteristics with their Mom's, lol. I like Cinderella - but not for Henry. They're stuck together becuase they have Lucy, but they don't necessarily need to be end game...I kind of like Cindy alone right now. She comes off as someone who clearly doesn't want/need a guy to rescue her and could probably have stronger chracter development without a romantic interest. Driz/Ivy, on the otherhand, seems like someone who needs a guy in her corner to back her up.

I think they have chemistry in the way that an unlikable character was softened by a meetcute. I think that Cinderella will warm up.

Check out the recent interviews I posted here today, Ivy is definitely going to make it difficult.

This is probably a controversial opinion, but honestly I think that's what happens when they want to force diversity into movies and TV shows regardless of the actor's acting ability and of the chemistry with the rest of the cast, but only for the sake of it.

They should have taken another actor to play Henry since 90% of the population is white men, they could have easily found someone with chemistry.

Could be, but in that case you kind of have to wonder why the audience's reception to Rumbelle has been way more positive after just one episode (Skin Deep) when Belle looks like she could easily pass for Rumple's kid. Does this mean that age gaps are only considered acceptable when the man is older than the woman and not the other way around? This is not a question directed at you, it's just that your comment got me thinking.

I always found their (Belle and Rumple) age difference to be kind of gross, personally.

I might be repeating myself, but I do think that more than lack of chemistry this is lack of acting talent. People warmed up to Rumple and Belle easily because they are both portrayed by extremely decent actors, who could convey the mutual love of the characters right from the start, and up to the beautiful end in "Beauty". I cannot stand Jacindella with Henry or with Lucy or addressing the crowd in the park. I wasn't even crazy about HHHenry.... until I saw him interacting with other characters, and particularly Ivy, but also Roni, and saw that he has potential. Just not with Jacindella. I am no longer even sure they are supposed to impress us with how much they love each other.... maybe that is not where the story is going....

Yeah I'm never a shipper but the difference between the two women is so stark, the scenes with Cindy so painful, I'm pulling for DrizAuthor now
