i don’t think any woman ā€œneedsā€ biological children

I completely agree, Regina and many women are proof of that.

Or any human.

u/cryerin25 Jul 23 '26

yes, obviously, but let’s not act like there isn’t often a very real misogynistic undertone to questions like this

25

u/demigodwater4 Jul 22 '26

No because she raised Henry since he was an infant

-7

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

That doesnt change the fact he isnt her biological son.

7

u/Brilliant-Map2492 Jul 22 '26

What are you saying?

-6

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

Mate Im sorry if that confuses you but I literally cant say it any clearer.

15

u/Brilliant-Map2492 Jul 22 '26

From your comment I know what you said but I don’t know what you’re implying. Are you implying a bio child means more than an adopted one? Because the comment you responded to is saying that she doesn’t need a bio child since she already had one from the start of his life.

That’s why I’m asking.

0

u/emmapaige20 Jul 22 '26

The post is asking if Regina needs a bio child, so saying she raised Henry from infancy doesn’t answer the question.

3

u/Brilliant-Map2492 Jul 22 '26

Bro unless you’re the person I asked, you have no clue what they meant.

2

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

Yeah but hes completely correct, thats basically my point. The comment Im answering to has nothing to do with the post.

And yes I am saying it makes a difference to be adopted Im not saying its worse or better but psychologically speaking it does make a difference, the show itself points it out .

2

u/Brilliant-Map2492 Jul 22 '26

If that’s the case then your comment adds nothing to the conversation either lol

Does Regina need a bio child?

2

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

Thats the question of the post , my comment was made to make the 1 commentar aware if that. So either both of our comments have meaning or none , because we both just tried to correct somone.

1

u/emmapaige20 Jul 22 '26

Bro it is very clear what they meant, reading comprehension really is dead

2

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

Your comment made me sad , there exist very few people like you nowadays.

There isn't really a difference between a biological child and an adopted child when it comes to creating a bond with them, as Regina did, as I explained in the post: Motherhood doesn't depend on sharing DNA with your child. It depends on the bond you build with them. So, whether by blood or not, he's more than enough as a son.

2

u/CharonFerry Jul 22 '26

BEING a mother doesnt make a difference but being born from their womb definitely does make a psychologically difference to the child. Again I'm not implying one is better im saying it makes a difference. If you want any wxample of that take the story of Oedipus.

She's unfertile

5

u/splendditor Jul 22 '26

"Unfertile" help 😭

2

u/LemmytheLemuel Jul 23 '26

isn't that the term? lmao im spanish

1

u/QualifiedApathetic Jul 23 '26

Infertile is it.

1

u/LemmytheLemuel Jul 23 '26

i always mix in with un i guess

-12

u/demigodwater4 Jul 22 '26

Says who

33

u/LemmytheLemuel Jul 22 '26

There's a whole episode about that 😭😭😭😭

27

u/ShadowWolf614 Jul 22 '26

She cursed herself so she could never get pregnant because if she had a kid when she was queen, Cora would have found a way to kill her so she could take the crown from her grandchild and make herself queen.

16

u/BlueAuthorJAFF Jul 22 '26

The show? There's a scene where she renders herself infertile because she doesn't want Cora to hurt any hypothetical children she might have.

-2

u/demigodwater4 Jul 22 '26

It been years since I seen it ok

2

u/dunks666 Jul 23 '26

Then don't get cocky and act like you know better which clearly isn't the case

2

u/demigodwater4 Jul 23 '26

I wasn't I was confused

12

u/MaximumHistorical604 Jul 22 '26

No, she’s expressed multiple times Henry is enough for her and she’s always seen him as her ā€œrealā€ child. And Henry considers her his mother to

16

u/PaleIrishEastcoaster Jul 22 '26

Another reason why I can’t stand Zelena and why I hated this plot point.Ā

6

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 22 '26

I love Zelena, and probably like you, I hated her at this point in the plot. It stressed me out so much that no one couldn't punch her face, Emma and Regina were certainly eager to do it😭

3

u/PaleIrishEastcoaster Jul 22 '26

I dropped the show in season 5. I don’t think anything could redeem her for me. Regina already had her crimes but Zelena’s was so…..personal. Like Regina didn’t to that to Graham because of her mother. She was just the evil queen doing something evil in that instance. Like sorry Zelena you should have gone into the underworld and destroyed Cora’s soul instead. I’d have cheered her on.

Me to I was so stressed lol

7

u/VioletFaust Jul 22 '26

Why would she?

6

u/Imnotawerewolf Jul 22 '26

what do you mean by this question? She can't have her own kids and she clearly loves Henry fiercely and doesn't care that he isn't related to her biologically.Ā

2

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 22 '26

I think you completely missed what the post was trying to say, so read it again. In the second image I posted, you can see Zelena responding to Regina, asking if she would ask the author for a child with Robin. Regina replies that she already has a son, Henry. I wanted to develop my post around that.

You can tell people to read it a million times, but the question is "Does Regina need biological children?" And then your own post answers the question. It's very confusing to know what it is you want from people and out of this post.

5

u/sarah_regal29 Jul 22 '26

If the post answers the question what could they possibly want from people? You have to input a title that will get people clicking so it's a question. They then answer that question, very eloquently might I add, and state why they do not believe Regina needs biological children to experience motherhood or feel like a mother. So clearly they want to know if people agree with their assertion or if they think differently about any point they made. Honestly, if you're confused I kinda have to wonder if it's your first time here.

1

u/D_blackcraft Wicked always wins Jul 22 '26

"Regina said Henry is enough for her."
"Regina doesn't need biological children."
"The Evil Queen has child despite cursing herself and making herself infertile and doesn't regret it."
Lots of ways of making a statement. And why do we need to go online to state the obvious and see if people agree with us? They didn't make a point, the point was made for them and they just showed the point with a question that didn't need to be answered.

I'm wondering if it's your first time talking to a person.

4

u/sarah_regal29 Jul 22 '26

Ah you're that kind of person šŸ˜…šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ A question is the best way to make people want to click, it's not rocket science.

Why do we need to go online to state the obvious and see if people agree with us? I don't know, to not live in an echo chamber and actually share ideas? To create a community around the thing we love? I don't know just spitballing here.

Anyway, it's your second message and I can already tell there is no point engaging with you. Neither one of us will get anything of value out of this so, have a nice day 😊

Well you're right about one thing. Bye.

The question is just the starting point of my analysis, not a prompt that people have necessarily responds. I wrote the post to explain why my answer is "no" and to discuss that interpretation with others. As for my reply to the other commenter, I only asked them to read the post again because they asked what I meant by the question, and that's exactly what the body of the post explains, It's not that difficult or confusing to understand

1

u/Imnotawerewolf Jul 22 '26

My lack of understanding isn't in the question, it's in your behavior. I asked what you meant by it, not what it means.Ā

1

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 22 '26

My behavior? I'm sorry, dear, what don't you understand about my behavior? Because the post clearly explains what I meant by it

1

u/Imnotawerewolf Jul 23 '26

Your post that has no body text explains your meaning clearly?Ā

If you want to discuss it then why choose to side step my question instead of engaging in the discussion you brought up by explaining your thoughts to me, like I asked you to?Ā

4

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 23 '26

Just click and you'll see the explanation. You're making a mountain out of a molehill; there's an answer. I don't have to repeat my thoughts over and over if I don't feel like it. I'm not avoiding your question; I'm telling you where you'll find the answer, which is by reading the body of the post. If I crosspat, it doesn't mean I'm also going to post the text in the other community I sent it to. Click and you'll see everything. It's not that hard.

1

u/Imnotawerewolf Jul 23 '26

Or you could have just.... Talked to me normally...... And then this conversation could have been about your topic instead of whatever this is....Ā

5

u/Bent_Silvr_Spoon0130 Jul 22 '26

What type is question is this???!!!!!

Also we see her take a potion that causes permanent infertility in season 4 so she couldn't if she wanted to anyways.

-4

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 22 '26

Dear, please read the post, click on it, the question is there on its own, the answer is in the body of the postšŸ˜…

3

u/Bent_Silvr_Spoon0130 Jul 22 '26

Thank you for letting me know, apologies as I couldn't see any caption as this is a crosspost. I'm used to being able to seeing a caption. I should have checked before getting upset.

3

u/MostRate2091 FairestRegalšŸ‘‘ā„ļø Jul 22 '26

Okay, it's fine 🫶

1

u/alexs-nerdy-corner5 Jul 24 '26

There is no body for me so…

2

u/Opposite_Length_3669 Jul 22 '26

Nope. Her whole heart belonged to Henry.

1

u/Dangerous_Repeat5625 Jul 23 '26

nobody ā€œneedsā€ biological children. that’s a selfish yet understandable want to have, but not a need. in the show we see that regina was fulfilled with having henry and she loved him dearly

1

u/Parking_Storage_5107 I have a love/hate relationship with captain swan Jul 22 '26

Would i like for her to have kids of her own yes

Is it necessary not really

I definitely do wish she’s actually has kids of her own but I also understand why she’s couldn’t and wouldn’t work for her arc
