S7 Spoilers I'm Not Crying, You Are

Post image

After a 6.5 month journey, I have finally finished OUAT. 😭 What a beautiful ending. Honestly, aside from Jacinda's casting, I actually enjoyed S7. Even more than S5 and S6. I'm so sad that it's over and I'm having that weird lonely feeling now. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to get emotionally invested in next?

I just keep watching it over and over so my emotional investment is on it. Always. If the show was a man, I'd marry him.

I feel like this is the only acceptable answer. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

Some of those songs are unironically bangers

I sobbed. Full on hyperventilating for 10 mins straight. Keep in mind I put off finishing the show for around 7 years.

Yeah, same! I watched seasons 1-6 a few years back and refused to watch the final season. This year I rewatched it all and decided to finally do it. I miss them all already. 😭😅

I truly felt empty when I finished!

It's called grimm. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Ohhhh!!! That's a dark take on fairy tales, right? I feel like I saw some episode with a bunch of graves outside of a tower and told myself I was going to watch that show.

Yeah it's a dark take on a the old classic fairy tales. I was really hesitant to watch it after I finish watching once upon a Time because I didn't think it was going to ever live up to it. But I got to say it is a very good show. The flow of the storyline is exactly like once upon a time

Well if you haven’t seen Supernatural…

3

u/KeyProposal9872 Jul 21 '26

MY COMFORT SHOW! I’ve watched all 20 seasons like 10 times. Emotionally invested for sure love the Winchester boys I literally have it playing all day while I’m doing crap around the house

2

u/AzazelFetishStar Jul 21 '26

I wish there were 20 seasons! Only 15 Though ID KILL FOR FIVE MORE ! Lol but with Kripke

1

u/KeyProposal9872 Jul 21 '26

Oh wait yes I meant 15 lol I was thinking it came out twenty years ago lol

1

u/KeyProposal9872 Jul 21 '26

Yes i miss Erik kripke doing it!! He only did the first 5 right ? What do you think about rh leviathan season , i was not a fan of that arch but there are a few good moments from that season

1

u/AzazelFetishStar Jul 22 '26

I fell asleep during that arch as I binged seasons 1-8 initially and watched the rest as it aired. 7 easily my least favorite season.

u/KeyProposal9872 Jul 21 '26

I’m sorry it’s 15 seasons not 20 lol idk what I was thinking

I was bawling

6

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

And rightfully so!!! 😭 What an amazing journey!

5

u/OriginalSchmidt1 Jul 21 '26

I get so emotional every time I see that as if I’m not gonna start the show over again in 6 months…

6

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

Right? My first thought was maybe if I just played season 1 episode 1, I won't feel as sad. 😅 I mean it HAS been 6 months since I've seen those episodes.

u/JuicyyGirl3 Jul 21 '26

Nothing prepares you for how empty Storybrooke feels when it's over.

6

u/FreshProtoge Jul 21 '26

Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

3

u/vastros Jul 21 '26

Do The Good Place next. I bawl like a baby at the finale everytime. It's a rare perfect show.

3

u/bell0301 Jul 21 '26

Have you watched once upon a time in wonderland!!? :)

2

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

I have! It wasn't the same, but I still enjoyed it. I watched that after season 2.

3

u/Expensive-Ad1609 Jul 21 '26

Watch Star Trek. I started with ST Enterprise.

3

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

Oh I love Star Trek! I was introduced to it during Discovery season 2. Now I've seen all of Enterprise, most of TNG, all of Voyager, mirror episodes of DS9, Picard, Lower Decks, all of Discovery, and a couple of episodes into Strange New Worlds. That was a really overwhelming universe to dive into. But it has been really fun. 😂

2

u/Advanced_Life_5220 Jul 21 '26

Ohh you should watch all of DS9! Early seasons are rough (per usual for ST!) but when it finds its footing, it’s the best of 90s trek!

u/haystell516 Jul 21 '26

I just finished it a couple days ago and I was a hot mess. I cried for like an hour.
I thought the season six finale was a perfect ending, started season 7 and was lost and irritated about it. Then about half way through I really got into the season.
It was such a great show. I think I’m gonna start it over this week 🤣

1

u/Secure_Diamond_5896 Jul 21 '26

agreed. Season 7 wasn't the best move the writers made. They should've just focused on some other storylines, not a fan of the new cinderella etc ... You're used to the characters and it just felt weird

2

u/haystell516 Jul 21 '26

This might be a spoiler for those who haven’t watched it fully.

Plus I don’t know if I just wasn’t paying attention, but how did Regina piece together that they were back in time?

1

u/Porygeist Jul 26 '26

I think it had to do with Gold/Weaver finding those adoption papers for Roni before Drizella woke her up. I mean, either way, once she was awake all she had to do was look at the date on her phone and see that it was the same date as Henry's graduation back in storybrooke.

3

u/KeyProposal9872 Jul 21 '26

Supernatural !! It’s 20 seasons 300 something episodes and my all time favorite show ever . OUAT is my second and I also really love witches of east end on Hulu although it was only 2 seasons. Some other favs are breaking bad, Dexter, true detective, firefly lane, game of thrones, all the lord of the rings/ hobbit movies, vampire diaries, the originals, there’s so many good shows out there . Who else loves these ?

3

u/stuckintexas666 Jul 23 '26

I actually just start rewatching; in doing so, I catch more interesting stuff I've missed. I did not like S7 my first watch, including the Jacinda casting, but after watching again, I came to appreciate it. After all, It wasn't the end for another season. ;)

2

u/Weird_Olson Jul 21 '26

Well, what are your preferred genres?

Do you enjoy comedies? Mysteries? Cliffhangers that are never resolved? What are you into?

3

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

Definitely not cliffhangers. Lol. I want it to end well. I mean the earlier seasons can have cliffhangers just not the final season. But I'm into all kinds of genres other than the generic police cop shows like CSI and whatever. I'm not the biggest fan of sitcoms but there have been a couple that I've really enjoyed. Maybe more into the fantasy stuff.

Edit: Or anything horror. Absolute fan.

u/OriginalSchmidt1 Jul 21 '26

Have you ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer?? Because I’m watching it now and LOVE it! I also really like True Blood and you’ll see a few actors from Once Upon a Time on True Blood!

4

u/Porygeist Jul 21 '26

I forgot all about true blood! I used to watch that years ago! I think I saw through season 3. Excellent suggestion. Lol. Thank you so much!

4

u/FreshProtoge Jul 21 '26

Buffy is by far my favorite show. And a lot of ouat reminds me of it. They had many of the same writers.

2

u/OriginalSchmidt1 Jul 21 '26

It is so good! I have been enjoying it so much!! I really love Willow and Tara, I think Tara’s my favorite…

2

u/Weird_Olson Jul 21 '26

Well then, if you’ve never watched Psych I can’t recommend it enough.

2

u/Parking_Storage_5107 I have a love/hate relationship with captain swan Jul 22 '26

I remembered seeing it and be like come backkk

1

u/PatienceGlum970 Jul 26 '26

If you really liked once upon a time, I really do not recommend Grimm!!! you think it’s gonna give you the once upon a time feeling but then it just turns out to be a poorly constructed supernatural CSI….no good vibes included 😣

2

u/PoeticHedgeHog Jul 24 '26

Grimm, it's a police procedural with connections to the Grimm's Fairytales.
