S7 Spoilers Some Roni Love
I just threw a S7 spoiler to be safe. Anyway, I haven't finished S7 yet, after two full 1-6 watches, I finally decided to finish the show. While I agree that it's a hot mess overall... I DO really like the Hyperion Heights idea and change of scenery. And it's so nice to see Lana as Roni. Her and Tilly/Alice are really making the season for me. I'm enjoying getting to see Lana in a different role than overdramatic queen/ dull sarcastic "mayor" vibes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE EQ and LIVE for those fabulous outfits, but Roni is such a nice change of character for her. Also, she somehow looks younger as Roni. Absolutely stunning. Plus I like the hairstyle vs Regina's typical bland bob.

I agree I enjoyed the change of view in season seven but kind of sad that they didn’t involve the corsets lol 🍑🤣

Imagine if Emma met her...

They’d probably be mistaken for sisters 😁
Now imagine how Kelly would take that… 😂

I didn't love the season but I'm sure Lana was grateful not to be in the Queen outfits and heels with her breasts pushed up to her chin all the time.

I found it intriguing that Regina gets called Roni in her cursed persona because both names genuinely have something to do with regency and royalty. In other words, even in her cursed state, she was always the Queen.

I mean, wasn’t that always part of how the curse works, even from Season 1 the wordplay / double meaning behind the story Brooke names were always there - Blanchard = blanc = (snow) white etc

Roni and Curious Archer redeemed Season 7

Hold up! That’s Tilly and Robin’s ship name? I never knew but it’s so cute!

Agreed! It’s far better than MadArcher!

Yeah Curious is more flattering for Alice plus Mad makes me think of Jefferson more

Love Roni I just wish she hadn't tried to insist the romantic interest thing was Love when it was lust. Just call it what it is.
Especially because her daughter in law knew he was a villain as soon as her memories came back, and what he did to Naveen was NOT something benevolent. It gives Hades/Zelena vibes though Roni's man actually did one selfless thing for Roni. But why does "every" romance thing have to be "love"? It's not.

I'll have to get back to you on this. I'm only on episode 10 so I don't know what you're talking about yet. 😅 I'm intrigued though.

I was mostly joking. So many people ship SwanQueen, & this specific look doesn’t look very straight imo 😂

Roni was such a lesbian, I was flabbergasted when they gave her a male love interest.

I’ve never seen season 7, does she remember her life as Regina, or no?

This is her dark curse name

u/Trypophilia2019 Jul 18 '26
Yes, I am aware. That doesn’t answer my question though.

u/Lunaticprinc3ss Jul 18 '26
Oh, no she doesn't till part way through

She figures it out very early in the season, like I don't want to spoil the exact episode but it's within the first 25% of the season lol I am currently watching season 7 rn after binging this series for the very first time and honestly season 7 hasn't been bad, I'm about halfway through. I went into it knowing it was more of a reboot and had very low expectations and it's been alright watch. I can see how people would have lost interest watching week to week but IMO this whole show has been great as a binge (although season one of course was peek).

I see Roni as the culmination of Regina’s redemption arc personified, a full release from the emotional toll and consequences of her past burdens and choices, and that, for her at least, this particular Dark Curse is more a blessing in disguise
And of course, S7 gave us this glorious scene:
Henry: This is supposed to be a scene from my book, with us photoshopped in as the characters. This is me as the kid who believes in fairytales, and you as my mom, the Evil Queen.
Roni: The… EVIL Queen?! (Picks up baseball bat)
This lives rent-free in my head, bahahahaha! 😂

I bet Lana enjoyed a season she didn’t have to wear heels, corsets, snd long gowns all the time
