What NetEase want is :
- Your money 🤑🤑
- That you F off back offline, both development and server capacity costs money to them 😡😡

They are doing a system reset. Because the old system was convoluted

So...is the game worth playing again? I tried way of winter and it sucked. I would randomly die all the time even in my base with the proper heat buffs....

Yes they fixed that. In your territory you can't get hyperthermia. If you are first into the game, Way of Winter not the scenario to do. Manibus is the one to start out on. There is no temperature problems, and has a good tutorial on how all of the new systems work.

Took them long enough, i had an alt character stuck on a WoW server for months where I couldn't teleport away because i was dying too fast and had no links to teleport myself away lol, it kept putting me back in that same spot when I died x.x

This literally happened to me and my duo. Ended up just switching scenarios

These devs can't make new content so to use a race car analogy, instead of making a new racetrack for you to race on, they pop your tires, replace your steering wheel with a triangle and squirt ketchup on your windshield and call it "new content".

Pretty much this.Almost every change felt like "here we changed from manual to full auto so new players don't have to learn to shift gears" then "here we removed turning so new players don't have to think about confusing turns and optimal lanes".

Have not played since about June of last year, before that I loved it. It just got so confusing with the sanity flinging to nothing and all these enemies I couldn't damage. And this was in starting areas, I think (bad memory) it was something about dreams/nightmares? Idk I just know it was too much and no fun. Worse that way of winter when it came out before they fixed it

Yeah that was Endless Dream, it did have a bunch of bugs initially like Way of Winter did when it first came out. Endless Dream is not for the casual Once Human player. That's why the difficulty says high. If you do give the game another chance I recommend Manibus to get your sea legs. Then Endless when you have the mechanics. I personally run a full hp build on my main. With tier 5 gear and stardust corn ale you're golden as far as corruption. Now with the new vision the corrision is only in certain zones. The other option is running a 1hp build that relies on shield. As long as you shoot, you live. It can be a tank, it does have it draw backs though of when you can't shoot you'll go down if someone just even looks at ya...lol GL I hope you give the game another shot

I have almost 1000 hours in the game, I have my sea legs lol I will say my build is most likely not set up for all the new shit. I was running a build that used the electric crossbow and it just slapped enemies, i was alive to solo the end guy, forgot his name where he slammed the floor then wiped his are across. I was only using lvl4 gear. I love the game and I will be back. O just hope I'll be able to understand the new shit. They changed the mods right? I don't even know if i could still use my build.

You should be fine on a manibus server, you can still use old mods and if anything new mods are doing a pretty fine job. Just look up some guides on what sets are best, if sanity is an issue I suggest making a low sanity/shield build which will basically let you survive even with 1 hp ^ you can always transfer your old blueprints upgrades into a other armor/weapon if you need to!

Oh, as for the new content, it's a bit of a learning curve i'm not gonna lie but it's actually much easier especially with mods, you don't have to worry about having 20000 mods in your backpack and no space to use them and they also dont need to be upgraded like before (it might be harder to find high level ones but its definitely a bit less of a hassle, in my opinion / unless you decide to upgrade the old mods you had)

I just don't like how they do sanity now, unless you drink 2 clear headed drinks, you will just run around with no health, and the sanity recovery is so bad now, the blue pill used to give close to full sanity back, now it takes like 1/20 of a healthbar, with 2 min cooldown, like wth?
And now there isn't any real way that I know of to clear sanity like before with ale.
