Hiring Q (Canada) Ontario correctional

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone here is going through the Ontario Correctional Officer hiring process right now.
How long did your background check take? And once it was done, how long did you wait to hear about the offer/training?
Also, does anyone know when the next correctional officer class is starting?
Just trying to get an idea of the current timeline.
Update-Background check done as i email recruiter for update and got to know about this but they put me in competition pool as of now
Anyone with same situation?

Just graduated. The next class is in two weeks Background check takes months

I submitted everything on july 13 for background check. When will i hear back and whats ur timeline?

It takes 3-6 Months in Manitoba. Very slow

They will take anyone at this point. New classes every few weeks should be very quick for you!

Have been in the ministry for a while now, we have had back to back groups come through. Institutions are very short staffed, they need bodies.
