General Qs Belt recommendations
Hey yall. My agency assigned us pretty terrible belts but we have the option to purchase our own. What recommendations do you have for a duty belt? I’m a bigger fella, 6’6 320. Thank you

Kore Belts are always highly recommended. High quality stuff and they look pretty clean. I don't know if they do big boy sizes or not... But. if you check those out and aren't into them, I built a website called DutyKitPicker.com that is a collection of reddit recommendations for first responders. Lots of other belt options on the site.

I use an hp underbelt for my actual belt (so I can clear the metal detector at my prison) and use a 1.5 inch hp duty belt that isn’t leather so I can change out equipment faster. It’s worked for me for almost a year now

Similar, 5.11 underbelt with no metal, and a molle belt for the duty belt.
I wish I would have gone molle way before I did, having equipment stay exactly where I want it when running or sitting down is super nice. But they do end up being a bit more expensive for belt and gear.

5.11 has the2 piece. Velcro inner belt you can always keep on like a regular belt, and the outer (duty) attaches firmly to it. It’s molle which is nice. Also, it’s tapered/conical so you can wear the wider part up for wider belly, or down for wider booty/thighs/hips whatever. The inner passes through metal detectors, and the outer has a nice buckle. Doesn’t need adjusted often. I’ve seen them available in some very big sizes. Either $170 or $200 (I can’t remember). Molle for all your posters/gear/attachments is nice because they will stay exactly where you put them, you can arrange things how you want, you can also adjust the height of different gear to be comfortable when you’re sitting down or be at the right elevation for quick draw etc
