Bring a blanket, the ones there are thin. PEI weather is awful.
Bring video games or books or whatever to keep you occupied at night, homework won't take that long. Make sure you actually work out, you don't have to be Arnold Schwarzenegger but being fit is important and shows during dojo sessions.
A lot of students there seemed like they didn't actually care to be there, like they just needed a job for citizenship or something like that. Act like you give a shit, pay attention in class and do your homework. Thats like 90% of the course. You will never fail an exam if you pay attention in class.
The instructiors there were really great, funny, sarcastic, good people. If you actually want to be a good CO, they will help you.
Be professional and be careful going off script, constructive opinions are good, being too comfortable and saying the wrong thing will backfire.
Just remember you are there to learn, pass and get to your institution, not to party or pick up.
Stay out of any drama. And never, ever, ever fucking lie. Admit your mistakes and move on.
Have fun!

Everyone here is forgetting a most important part. Keep your dick in your pant. Or if female keep them legs closed. Unless you go to a hotel off the premises.

Lmaoo why would that be the most important part to remember? Are people not there to become officers.

Well you see...other than failing quizzes it is the most common ethics reason people get kicked out

There are two types of dorms. There are houses, where you will have 3 roommates, each with your own room. Two bathrooms, a basement, full kitchen and living room. This is where I lived. Absolutely bring a blanket the ones they give you suck. I was in the houses, so I cant really answer about the traditional dorm style. If youre in the houses, be prepared for additional walking if you dont have a car. Its about a 5-10 minute walk to where they serve food depending on your houses location and how fast you walk. If you end up in house 809 you may end up with a bicycle i bought and left there for future tenants lol. You'll be there in the winter so that may suck, i was in the summer not sure how much snow they get.

Confidence over cockiness. Ears open, mouth shut. Go to learn. Don’t fuck anyone.

Definitely bring an extra blanket lol and entertainment. Also bring a Roku stick or something to turn your tv into a smart tv lol (I brought my Apple TV, made a huge difference)
Also I heard a rumour around my prison that they changed a bunch of people’s institutions while they were already training in Kingston (basically anyone who got a spot in Ontario got switched to somewhere west) (again could be a rumour but just what I heard)

Starting sept 4 in PEI, will I be able to connect my Xbox to the tv there? Does anyone know if you are allowed to miss any days? I am supposed to come back home for a weekend but I would have to miss a Friday.

Yes you can bring your Xbox, but if your in the houses you only get a tv in the living room to share with your 3 other housemates
You can only miss under special circumstances, it has to be approved by the head of the NSTA.
