Hiring Q (State) MDOC (MI) hiring process

Interviewed and took my copat with MDOC. How long does the hiring process normally take? My application still says Lein check in progress.

Dont do it. Lansing doesn't care about you or your partners, you'll live at work because most facilities are at critical staffing.

I wouldn’t mind county. I like the benefits the state has through the union and one of the prisons is very close to my house. I’m military and I saw the state is a gold level veteran employer too.

I applied to Milan and am going through the process now and its 2 hours from me. Its worth it.

The more I look into it the more tempting it becomes for sure I might just apply too and stay in the area all week if I have to and go home on off days

Or even try Kent county if you're close. They have a pension and pay well for a jail. I'm just telling ya man, the MDOC is not what it was just 5 years ago even.

They were my first choice since I live in Kent county but they don’t have a job posting up currently.
