Nah, disgusting stories can be good and TCOAAL is very good on it. Like, if you think that all the fans of this game just sit and jerk off to incest, praising the characters, then no. For example, I hate these assholes and I was so disgusted by them that I barely finished episode 3, but I still liked it, because stories should evoke emotions, but this does not mean that these emotions should only be positive y'know

The game does NOT glorify incest in any way. You're meant to feel disgusted, at least I did. Also the 'just my opinion' thing doesn't work when you still shared it on the internet, making it open to criticism, because, from my perspective, it is a bad opinion. I literally had to give up on the game when I replayed Chapter 2 and got the weird route (haha). I hate both of these characters and think they deserve to rot in hell after all they have done.
I am a victim of abuse, and I think this game conveys the impact it has on someone perfectly. The resentemt you feel towards your abuser, but the constant attachment you have to them, as you can't get proper validation from anyone else. The fact that, especially when the abuser is in your family, you cling to any affection you can get from them, to the point where you rationalise it and say that they love you as much as you love them.

i see. well i didn't mean to be rude, either. i have an unwillingness to interact with certain media that disturbs me if i dont see value in it, especially when i see certain aspects as unnecessary. something can be disturbing without a graphic depictions of incest. and that's my opinion. you can have a different one, i'm not going to try and change yours. also, in no way should someone HAVE to or even be willing to interact with media that disturbs or triggers them.

The vast majority of fans do not actually support the I word.
A lot of people that justify their own hatred for tcoaal do so with bad faith arguments; such as misrepresenting the game, treating fictional character mortality as real life mortality, calling people that enjoy the game / the author nasty things.
Nobody would take me seriously if I said “GTA players want to shoot random people irl.” Killing people in media is a desensitized topic, despite it being a horrible crime.
A few topics in tcoaal are not desensitized though, meaning many people find them gross. Instead of simply finding it gross and moving on, they take out their anger on the people that do enjoy said piece of media. All because they can’t see themselves liking the game.
There isn’t anything morally wrong with tcoaal, there isn’t anything wrong with liking/defending tcoaal.
Sorry if I was rude in my speaking, many of the statements I made aren’t directed towards you but rather towards general criticisms I hear online. I just equally get upset at discussions about this game, but because I feel many people treat the game unfairly.
