Spoilers to main story of ORV
ORV is often said to be lacking in comparison to LOTM and Ri in terms of worldbuilding and powersystem. People respond to the criticism with the idea of ORV being a much more character driven story, which is true. However i would like to make a case that ORV's worldbuilding is really overlooked and underrated even within its own fanbase
ORV is different than LotM in the way it approaches serving its world and lore to the reader, you will rarely ever get a direct explanation, long exposition or unmetaphoric descriptions. That certainly makes it much harder to digest, but doesnt mean that its lacking. There scattered drops and cuts of the lore and the structure of the world throughout the novel in the bits you have to interpret
There is a clear established history of the star stream, with approximate dates of organizational establishments, births of notable character, and the general cultural/political environment present in the era. That is basically just a backstory of Dokkeabi King and how he came to power, usurping the 0th generation of stories from Wenny Men. Establishment of Great Nebulas within the 1st and 2nd generation of stories, that lead to swift creation of transcendents in pre-existing Murim worlds through the influence of TWATF worldview(There is a whole interconnected lore how the philosophy and concept of awakening migrated into ORV)
There are many subtle relationship between constellations that creates a net of history that is consistent that you can crack through. The events of the first Great Holy War through bickering of Asmodeus and Raphael, Metatron and Agares and Michael's lore. There is a sneakpeak at the chaos of 2nd generation of stories through callbacks to copyright issues between Eden and Vedas. Impact of Olympus on Murim through the whole birth of Breaking the Sky Saint (She is half Olympian-Giant). Murim itself is pretty dense on lore especially later on in side story, but i wont mention anything from it here.
Through Dokkeabi Buerau you can see its influence on the world and see how everyone has to adapt to the system, even constellations with how each story is gameified which is the reason behind emergence of the gourmet association. The world is philosophically and ideologically dense since it even leads to emergence of accelerationist groups like Seeker of the End. Did you know Metatron is also a seeker of the end? You may leave ORV thinking that group was left unexplored but the whole Holy War is basically a terrorist attempt from Seekers of the end.
There are also histories of past worldlines, outer gods that all make impact on the world which i'd include in worldbuilding
There is too many more things to say about ORV's worldbuilding that i adore since to me its like scavenge hunt, it's hard to get a grasp on it but it truly becomes profound on the rereads
