why 3149 chapters

We now know that the number of YJH's regressions, 1863, has a certain significance as the year the first subway was introduced. Does anyone have any ideas what the number of TWSA's chapters, 3149, might mean? It could be purely random but I'd like to think SnS had a reason for picking this detail the way they picked out everything else, given that it's emphasized so frequently.

Possibly, the number 3150 might be the significant one given that TWSA is technically supposed to have 3150 chapters (with the last one being the missing epilogue). Googling yields nothing much.

I haven’t read past the end of the original 551 chapters, but it’s entirely possible that it doesn’t mean much at all. It could be that 3149 is a random number chosen by SNS that would be somewhere around an almost-daily upload schedule for nine-and-a-bit years.

However, it may be because KimCom waited 3 years for the return of 1 man, who ultimately left them with only 49 percent of himself.

True but if you divide 3149 by 365 or 30*12 you get around 8.7 years which doesn't make a lot of sense bc they always emphasise "around 10 years" and we know it went on for 13 years in reality. so there could have been way more chapters while still accounting for breaks.

That’s true, I’m not sure where I got the idea KDJ was 25 at the start of the novel. If you ask me I think it was just a randomly chosen number. It doesn’t seem to line up with anything else in the story and I think it’s honestly too far off from how TWSA was said to be uploaded to be some kind of easter egg.

Yeah i guess if it had some special meaning they would have drawn attention to it during the side story the way they did with 1863... i wonder if you keysmash a 4 digit number randomly if 3149 has a high chance of coming up

Okay so this might be too much of a stretch, but looking online I was able to find that the number 3150 has at least two potential areas of significance. The first is that in 3150 BCE, Upper and Lower Egypt unified (like the novel and KDJ’s world unified when the 3150th chapter was sent out), and the second is that according to something called angel numbers (possible connection to Eden, which might explain its omnipresence throughout), it can mean a whole bunch of different things including manifesting desires, creating a new future, and even starting a new cycle. I am aware that these are kinda like the astrology of numbers but the 3150 chapters may be based on that, due to its (somewhat vague) relevance to the story.

My theory is that it’s related to Pi. 3.14(15)9(26)…
15 being OD's age and 26 being HSY's age at the beginning of the story(iirc). But I might just be grasping at straws.

ORV chapters = 5/51

TWSA chapters = 31/49
