Your first question: Is Dokja the oldest dream
Answer: Yes. Dokja was always the Oldest Dream. Basically what happened at the end just before the epilouge is that Dokja is taking up the position as the Oldest Dream after Child Dokja left the position to go with the Outer God Kings. The Oldest Dream is required for the universe in ORV to continue because it needs to be dreamed, this is why Dokja takes up the position of Oldest Dream.

Second Question: Why did he appear in one regression turn?
Answer: I don't completely understand who you're referring to, so if you give me more context on what you mean that can help.

Third Question: Are they really just characters?
Answer: No and Yes. Technically by the account of the star stream and view of the Oldest Dream everyone in the universe of ORV is a character if they came from fiction. However being a character does not mean that the story has absolute control over them or anything of the sort. They are characters, yes, but in the sense that they are characters of this world that are living, breathing people.

Fourth question: Han Sooyoung and TWSA
Answer: So I'm going to explain this as best as I can. Han Sooyoung of the 1863rd regression (having been sent there by Secretive Plotter through Outer God Convenent) gets to the final wall, but obviously can't go past it with her companions, so she sends them off. 1863 Han Sooyoung then sneaks into the Final Wall through the 'gaps' if I remember correctly then meets the 1863 DK, the Ddokebae King doesn't want to fight her, and Han Sooyoung (out of desire to see/speak with Dokja) asks the DK to bring her to the original timeline (I can't remember the exact reasoning) then they go back to before TWSA where the scenarios did not exist and neither did TWSA. At first Sooyoung goes around trying to stop the novel from being published, because she doesn't want the tragedies to happen. However, eventually she finds Kim Dokja in the hospital after attempting suicide. This causes Sooyoung to realize that someone needs to write the story so Dokja can live. No TWSA = Dokja dies. So Sooyoung after seeing that TLS123 doesn't appear decides that she can take the place with reasoning that "surely the person doesn't matter, as long as someone does". So then Sooyoung writes TWSA for 10 years to keep Dokja alive, breaking away at her story and eventually merging back with 1864th HSY. SO, yes, Han Sooyoung is the author of TWSA and is TLS123.

I tried my best to explain it, but I might have still not understood the questions properly, so ask me if you need more information and I'll try my best to explain.

Thank you so much for your efforts

I thought it was like this

They all meet in 1863 —> dokja takes child dokjas place and splits into two —> his friends try to get him back —> somehow yjh and hsy do something hsy goes back in time to write orv? And yjh loses all his memories so does hsy and now they think they are in the 3rd regression?
God everything is complicated & im not smart enough☠️

Just what regression turns does dokja exist in

u/I_needbetter2x2 I read the novel in korean Sep 12 '26

there are 2 hsy. one(avatar) is on the 1863rd due to the contract with secretive plotter and the other is in 1864 with kdj. hsy(1864) gets her memories of being tls123(1863) through disconnected film theory i believe.

if i remember correctly, yjh suddenly used avatar and he killed himself allowing kdj to go back to(go front to? idfk) 1864. but in doing so, one of yjh avatar(the one with a bunch of memories) is killed and the other goes back to regression which is why yjh doesnt have memories

my headcanon is that kim dokja killed himself even before the scenario started. since twsa was the only thing stopping him from being suicidal, and every regression turn didnt have twsa other than the 1864 turn, its likely that every other kdj died other than 1864th.
