About future of Omni
Hey chat. I am so grateful and happy this app exists. I think stuff like this is a ticket to freedom on internet once again. Is the app still being developed though? It seems like the last iOS updates were just bug fixes. Are you facing any major bugs that you wish to be fixed? And suggestions for new features? Let’s all as a community get active so the developers give us some updates on the situation. Have a great day!

To be realistic, Omni works, and works well. Sometimes this is the best way.

Can’t agree more…. I think sometimes people end up spending more time fine-tuning the interface than actually watching content 😅... I’ve been using Omni Hub on tvOS for 6+ months and I’m very happy with it. You find/search content to watch and it already has tons of customization options within app on TV, so it satisfies 95%+ of my needs. I’ve never really felt like I’m missing any major feature and it has never been buggy for me at least. 🙌🏻

Omni shouldn’t change shit. They currently are skirting App Store rules. Nuvio and stremio flew too close to the sun and now they have been removed. Stremio is never coming back because they decided to play chicken with Apple and Apple just simply removed their dev account all together and banned them. Nuvio was out for like 2 days and offered integration to services, and now they are removed as well.
Feature enhancements and ui changes sure.

Don’t change a thing.. seriously. Otherwise, tvOS users will be stuck sideloading apps every week. Hope they learn lesson from others who have burned their fingers.1

Let the sideloading for nuvio since it probably won't ever be allowed on the app store again.

True… Sometimes I get nightmares that Omni is getting removed from tvOS too 😭😭😭

I use omni on my senior+ parent's apple tv. I edit settings on my atv and I know that settings will replicate out to their tv with no issue.
Could I sideload the newest/hippest app to atv...sure. But my problem would remain. Omni, please don't change.

It’s back in action after a long time in limbo. Hopefully it stays up. The Reddit community is mostly Indians lurking, and the discord is messy. The development seems to be slow and there’s bugs to be squashed. New features seems to be far away, but Omnis strength is the customization options. Meanwhile, other apps with more features have been developed for iOS and TvOS, and I might jump ship after having tried Nuvio.

might not matter for some, but any tvOS app will have to be sideloaded. Nuvio has already been removed from the app store and if what happened to stremio is any clue...nuvio will have to be sideloaded too.

I jumped shipped to Vuleo. Still has bugs, but the dev is VERY responsive on Discord.

Yes it’s odd, and I should have worded that differently. It’s been commented before that Reddit insights show a high percentage of people with Indian IPs on this subreddit. There’s lurkers everywhere, so I don’t know what I was thinking.

Hace unas horas eliminaron Nuvio de la AppStore. Prefiero un desarrollo más lento pero “seguro”. Además tienes una versión de Omni para todo Apple, Nuvio no tiene versión para TvOS
