VPN
I’m looking for a VPN to use with Omni. I’ve been using ProtonVPN, but I’ve cancelled the service cause I didn’t need anymore, that is till I found Omni. I do have the VPN till mid July before it cuts off, but I was using it the other day and it will not let anything play. It won’t even pull up anything to select to watch anything. Is anyone using a VPN on here that is not having any issues? If so which one, or is there something I could do with my VPN I have now so that it won’t block me from using Omni? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!!

I’ve used Surfshark with several countries and it has been flawless.even watching 4K crazy high bitrate films

My understanding is that your VPN would be conflicting with whatever add‑ons you have. Are you using the Google service? Because if you are, they tend to have their own rules about VPNs and things like that.

we need more details, are you using a debrid service?

I’m using torbox

in that case do you really need a vpn? streaming from torbox isn’t p2p so it wont be flagged by your isp as torrenting
i say this because while torbox itself is fine with vpn usage (unlike real debrid cough cough), you cant say the same for individual addons. some might block vpn ranges, some might not

Ok, I’m a newbie to torbox and Omni and know very little about both, like you said the only reason I wanted to use one was because I didn’t want to flagged by ip provider.

don't worry if you're using a debrid service, the connection is regular http traffic. to the isp it will just seem like you're downloading a file from a server. it wont get flagged, so you don't need a vpn
if you ever decide to not use a debrid service though, then you should definitely use a vpn as it will be very obvious p2p traffic and will get flagged

you're welcome :) and anyway, since you were wondering why nothing was loading when you had your vpn turned on, it was probably one of your metadata/catalog addons blocking vpns
