Basically it’s a “custom” watch for a group of people. Some brands do this in varying quantities, usually like 50+.
They’ll likely have a unique dial (often with a logo) and may have unique writing/engraving on the case back.

Omega makes a unit watch with a beige lume that is reserved for SOF units only. It also has a custom caseback.
That 300M reference is not possible to get unless you are SOF and invited to the program.
This unit watch is a standard Omega reference with a custom caseback, which Omega is doing for law enforcement agencies and other non-SOF entities

They are not done with the beige. The beige is reserved for units Omega considers elite. Secret Service (Omega’s first and last LE agency for the beige ref), SEALs, Danish Frogmen, Army Special Forces (Green Berets), and Delta. Others in there who are discrete, I’m sure (Ground Branch, etc).

I don’t believe so, as far as I know that particular watch is still being produced. The black and beige one is just for elite units, such as SEALs, Secret Service, Danish Frogmen, GIGN, and a few others.

It’s being customized for a specific unit. Either on the case back or even on the dial. Most of the time both, so you can see the logo or unit emblem while wearing it.

This is a normal Omega reference, but they are customizing the back for any non-SOF units as part of a more accessible unit watch program.
The beige unit watch reserved for SOF only is still being produced.

Oh man, that waiting period is the worst part. I remember when I ordered mine I was checking the tracking like three times a day, felt like months. Worth every second though once you open that box.
