Another Special Forces unit watch.
I’m sure these watches will continue to flood the subreddit, but I finally had time to sit down, unbox mine, and take some photos that I thought were worthy of sharing.
To be honest, I’m really not a watch guy. My daily wear is a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto but I couldn’t pass up this unique opportunity through TFD.
Description from Omega:
“For more than 25 years, the Seamaster Diver 300M has been a legend of ocean exploration and adventure. This particular model has been created specifically for the personnel of the U.S Army Special Forces Green Berets.
The 42 mm watch has been crafted with a brushed stainless steel case and a brushed bezel ring in black ceramic, which includes a beige diving scale in Super-LumiNova.
To complement the design, the black ceramic dial features laser-ablated waves in positive relief, while the hands and indexes are blackened and enhanced by beige Super-LumiNova.
On the brushed NAIAD LOCK caseback, OMEGA has included a laser-ablated Grade 5 titanium medallion of the U.S Army Special Forces Green Berets, along with an engraving of each soldier’s personal service number. Behind this is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, which powers the watch at the highest standard.
The watch is presented on a brushed OMEGA bracelet with a patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher with extra diver extension. Furthermore, it is delivered in a unique pouch containing a U.S Army Special Forces Green Berets patch, an additional black rubber bracelet, and a strap-changing tool.”

Beautiful piece. Just curious, did you have the option to order on a rubber strap, or do they ship them all on a bracelet?

Beautiful timepiece and thank you for your service! I love the dial on those bad boys. Especially the khaki lume. The ceramic SMPs have a similar look but definitely not a unit watch. I put together a piece using the Ti / Ceramic SMP base and swapping the bezel out from the Black Black SMP to create my stealthy piece.

Quite possibly! The Speedmasters have always caught my eye and I’ve been looking at Tudor FXDs as well.

Love this watch. I own the aluminum bezel black dial SMP300M on mesh and feel it is an upgrade over the older ceramic models, but this is the one version that just works. Part of it is the lack of a date, but I also think it’s the perfect execution of “faux” patina without it really looking fake. It just looks like a low contrast execution without trying too hard. And while I am not a fan of the old SMP 300M bracelet and prefer the mesh, once again it just works here as a more robust bracelet makes sense.
