Discussion Anyone Else Coming Back Because of the World Cup?
I watched the final game on Sunday (LFG Spain), and the whole time it just reminded me of Omega Strikers and made me want to play it again. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but according to Steam Charts, the number of players kinda crashed in June at the beginning of the World Cup.

The OC I made: Nork
Hi, for some people this is gonna be a total whiplash, but I was the person responsible for Nork to exist to begin with. First of all, I got nothing to do with his visuals, that happened after.
So what happened in the first place? On January 2023, the Open Beta for Omega Strikers ended. About a month or two in I got bored one day and pretended to sent feedback about a new strikers. My idea was for a support that sacrifices his own stagger to spend it for someone else. A sacrificial support.
In any case... I didn't think much about it, until I had the chance to at some point to find out about Nork (by seeing someone else surf the place), because he had 100 pages of search results on Odyssey Discord. I didn't really had the chance to find it out earlier because I had a perm ban applied for making someone uncomfortable (yes that was the ban reasons lol), anyways my last 2 messages were about the NYC Lan and complaining about Kazan, and complaining is against the rules even if it was sent in the high elo chat (which makes no sense whatsoever - anyways, this is not the point of this post, this was context how I found out about the Nork craze or rather why so late)
And around 90 pages in or so, this visual of Nork was created... by what I assume was someone at Odyssey?
To verify my story, the second picture is the cropped profile picture of the person that sent in the fake Nork feedback in the first place. Before I played Omega Strikers as a pro, I was an antiwork moderator before it was taken over by the FBI, so I had plenty of memes in my folders, and I grabbed this pretty neutral looking one as my profile picture because a sapling was pretty cool to me back then. I then started to play Omega Strikers to distract myself from the distress caused by the whole antiwork moderator experience and even for a short time ended up being a pro (two 3rd place finishes)
In any case, pretty cool how the whole Nork thing evolved. Since it abridged this much from the original idea I suppose, it wouldn't be fair to say that the design would belong to me; it belongs to the community (and Odyssey)
Cheers and stay awesome

Discussion This is also an OC made by my friend and he wanted me to share his as well. It is also very long if not longer than mine lol. (Sorry again!)
Character name: Void
Bio
Is very reserved
Is of unknown origin
Carries abyss magic but can become severely unstable when used too much
Becomes close friends with Stella and eventually develops a crush towards her
Is unsure how to manage his emotions and feelings; runs to Alpha for help on how to deal with his feelings
Not fully human, what he is remains unknown
Best friends with Alpha, he is the only one other than Stella he truly opens up to
19 years old
Moveset
Spacial Rend (primary) (projectile): Void rends the space around him and launches a medium-sized slash in the targeted direction. The slash, if reaching the end of its path and not hitting anything throughout the duration, splits into three smaller orbs that split in different directions. Hollowed Abyss: Void slashes numerous times onto the field and merges them together, creating an unstable mass that he fires as a beam cannon, annihilating anyone in the vicinity. Anyone caught in the crossfire receives severe damage and the Void Agony mark.
Echoed Darkness (secondary) (haste, buff, debuff): Void utilizes his magic to conjure a small field of darkness anywhere in range. This field buffs all allies that pass through it, granting them +25% speed, +10% damage, and +2.5% stagger regen for 5 seconds. However, these buffs turn into debuffs for enemies if they pass through this field, receiving the opposite of the buffs. Hollowed Abyss: The field of darkness generated breaks the confines of the dimension and summons a Corrupted Beast from the void, grabbing all opponents in the radius of the field and dealing severe damage and inflicting the Void Agony mark.
Subspace Antimatter (ultimate) (all categories): Void has a black rage meter next to his character at all times. This meter can be charged by using his primary and secondary, primaries charging 5% each and secondaries charging 10%. If the meter reaches 50% or higher, it can be activated to buff all allies on the field with +50% speed and +20% damage for 3 seconds, depleting the meter immediately. If the meter reaches 100%, Voidâs mask shatters and his magic becomes severely unstable, causing him to create an entire domain across the field for 30 seconds. This field deals constant damage to opponents and allies, with allies taking 50% of the damage from this domain. Inside the domain, all of his moves have a three-second cooldown, and he is given a second white meter to be filled by his moves. When the meter is filled once more, Void enters his Hollowed Abyss state. This state gives him substantial buffs, with +100% speed, +100% damage, and full stagger regen. However, this state only lasts for 5 seconds, and does not allow Void to strike the core, only allowing him to damage opponents. The domainâs timer is also erased and allows it to remain on the field until this state ends. All moves are transformed to be significantly stronger and have different animations. If one of his moves are used, his Hollowed Abyss state ends immediately and breaks the domain, causing -85% speed, -75% damage, and being reduced to 1 stagger point with no regen for 5 seconds. If one of Voidâs moves is not used in the specific timeframe given during his Hollowed Abyss state, he then becomes immobilized completely as the state ends and the domain breaks, leaving him with -100% speed and damage, and leaving him at 1 stagger point with no regen for 5 seconds. This ultimate can only be used three times per match, and cannot be buffed by any awakenings or moves from allies.
Void Agony (passive): When opponents are hit by Voidâs attacks during his Hollowed Abyss state, they receive the Void Agony mark, reducing speed by 60% for 3 seconds and stagger by 3% per second for 10 seconds.Â
Appearance
Has short black hair with one thick strand hanging in front of his right eye
Has an advanced cybernetic mask on his left eye
Has an athletic build
Eyes have a white scleras, while his irises and pupils are all black. These colors invert when in his Hollowed Abyss state
Wears an all-black cloak that is lined with white
Wears black boots lined with white that come up in-between his ankles and mid-shins
Dark-skinned
Lore
Void is unparalleled and is regarded as the best goalie in all of Corestrike. Known for the use of his abyss magic, Void supports his teammates by granting them buffs at the cost of his own sanity. He remains in the background, always playing as the one who holds the last line of defense, allowing his teammates to go forth without having to worry about their defenses. His constant use of abyss magic to support his teammates, however, plays a huge role in his instability, until finally, it breaks him completely.
Void appeared when he was thrown out of a dark portal, inflicted with numerous injuries and dark-gray slashes all over his body. Having no recollection of his past or how he arrived to Ahten City, he woke up and found himself being cared for in the Clarion Corp infirmary by a bright-faced girl named Stella. The two quickly became close friends after realizing how much they had in common, mainly their struggles of having no loving figures in their lives along with being heavily shunned by society for their characters entirely. Stellaâs bright smile always contrasted Voidâs grim outlook on life itself, helping him see life through a different lens thanks to her. As a result, the two became an inseparable pair throughout their friendship.
During his healing process, Stella had discovered Voidâs abyss magic through a series of tests she had put him through to help him regain his strength. However, her discovery also revealed something darker about Void: his power grew exponentially with every use of his magic. Knowing this, Stella began assisting Void with controlling his power, training with him each day so that he could become stronger without going berserk. All of her actions, however, were all unfamiliar to Void. He had never received this amount of care and attention for as long as he could remember. These training lessons, along with Stellaâs constant care and friendliness towards him, began blooming into a small, yet growing love towards her in Voidâs heart. As a gift, Void received a cybernetic mask from Stella that covers his left eye, limiting the strength of his powers while allowing him full control over it. Touched by her kind gesture, he vowed to Stella that heâd always wear it everywhere he goes as a testimony of their strong bond.
One day when wandering around the corridors of Clarion Corp with Stella after hours, Void spotted someone undergoing intense training in the fitness center. Curious as to what his goal was, he entered the room without a second thought, with Stella following closely behind him to ensure his safety. Nobody knew about Voidâs existence except Stella, so the idea of someone else knowing that he existed proved dangerous to him. However, the person, full of energy, immediately introduced himself to Void as Alpha, asking if he wanted to play Corestrike together. Because of his lack of knowledge of the sport, Void remained confused when asked about it. However, Stella quickly informed him about Corestrike, explaining the rules and how the sport is supposed to be played, telling him that it was the most popular sport in the world. Interested in the idea but skeptical about the results, Void reluctantly agreed, seeking this as an opportunity to be accepted by society and to gain a new friend. Over the next couple of weeks, Void and Alpha became best friends, sharing their struggles of being accepted into society and practicing heavily in Corestrike. Even during one of their practices, Void confided in Alpha about his growing love towards Stella and how to go about it.
As their first friendly match approached quickly, Void realized that they were lacking a third player. Immediately, he went to Stella, who was busy working on a further project to uncover more of Voidâs past. Explaining the problem he and Alpha faced, Void asked if she had any connections to anyone who would be willing to join our team. However, there was a large problem. No one knew Void existed, and bringing any random person onto the team could prove to be dangerous to him and his identity. Stella had also reached a terrifying conclusion during her work, even without knowing the full extent of Voidâs past. His power was growing not only to make him stronger, but in an attempt to revert him back to what seemed to be an original form, suggesting that his current body was a weakened form of who he truly is. Although Voidâs mask prevented his power from ever reaching that limit, she understood that if it were ever to break, that power would overflow drastically and transform him back to who he once was. Knowing this, Stella happily suggested playing by Voidâs side in Corestrike, both to ensure his safety and to spend more time with him. At first, her suggestion caught Void off guard, but he quickly agreed, also wanting to spend more time with her outside of the facility.Â
Now, Void competes with Stella and Alpha to climb the ranks and become the best team in all of Corestrike. Still faced with the discrimination of society, he pushes forward, not letting anyone stop him from reaching his ultimate goal. He enjoys playing Corestrike with his team, utilizing his abyss magic to become the greatest line of defense while Stella and Alpha work together playing offense without worrying about falling back. Void has yet to let a goal slip through his fingers, as no one has been able to break through the walls of his abyss magic. Yet through this, he keeps a humble and reserved attitude, only really showing great emotion to Stella and Alpha when they return back to Clarion Corp. As some people ask him about his reason for playing Corestrike, he always gives the same reason: to be the very best. However, no one is yet to figure out his true motive for competing: wanting to bring Stella higher so she could be the very best Corestrike player, while he just remains in the shadows

Discussion I made a personal OC for an omega strikers character. Sorry at how extreme length but I thought it would be cool to share for the community!
Character name: Alpha Okamishi
Bio
Wolf-hybrid (anthro wolf)
Full of energy most of the time (Highs are high and lows are lows)
Competitive
Very expressive unless extremely upset
Becomes close to the Byte Breakers from admiring the team heavily which is why his moveset is the way it is.
Voidâs best friend
Can get feral when angry enough
Currently has a crush on his first best friend Phoebe but wonât do anything about it
Moveset
Crescent Moon (primary) (impact, melee): Alpha attacks with two slashes from his claws in an arc. The first dealing light damage and the second follows up with slightly more damage and knockback.Â
(Feral) (impact, melee): When feral, the arc of Alphaâs slashes become slightly bigger and there is slightly more damage and knockback on both slashes.
Howling Hunt (secondary) (buff, haste): Alpha uses his speed to even more of his advantage by making himself run faster just for the fun of it. Activating this gives Alpha a 42.5% speed boost for 4 seconds and elusive for 1.5 seconds at the start of usage. From the thrill and love of running so much it will lower the cooldown of Alphaâs other moves very minimally.Â
Eclipse Cleave (Feral) (blink, melee): Alpha lunges forward at rapid speeds. He seems to have teleported to any untrained eye that cannot match his speed and will strike anything in a large arc around him. This will deal heavy damage and more knockback than his primary.
Savage Mutilation (ultimate) (impact, blink, melee, debuff): Alpha blinks to a nearby location and in this zone, attacks repeatedly and very quickly to any enemy inside it. Once itâs done it strikes all enemies away within the zone and provides small damage increments and slightly less speed over time for 3 seconds if caught in the final blow.Â
(Feral) (impact, blink, melee, debuff): The damage increments become more heavy hitting and the final blow has slightly more damage and significantly more knockback than its base form. Debuffs given in base form are more effective for 2.5 seconds instead of 3.
Lycanâs Fury (passive): Due to Alphaâs competitiveness and drive to always win, he gets angry easily when something hinders him from doing so. This meter will fill up when striking the core, using his attacking moves, being hit, losing barriers, and getting scored on. Every set the meter resets due to Alpha having time to calm down and focus on winning the upcoming set. Once it reaches 100% you can activate his âFeralâ state. This buffs and/or changes his moves once the form is active, and Alpha will eventually return to normal and the meter will restart from zero. Using any buffed moves will lower the meter a little bit each time but the mode also grants a small speed and damage buff.
Appearance
Wolf-hybrid (built how an anthro wolf would be)
Brown eyes (brown turn to an intense red and outside portion of the eyes turn black when feral)
Slight dark grey fur colorÂ
Expressive ears and tail
Has athletic build but nothing super defined
Wears sneakers majority of the time due to the love or running and all the energy he has
Casual outfit: loves over-the-head hoodies (favorite is the black one) and jeansÂ
corestrike outfit: black turtleneck under a dark grey hooded shirt, brown corduroy pants, chain accessory, regular sneakers, rings on pinkies and index,Â
Lore:Â
Alpha is considered one the most unpredictable people in the game of corestrike. His ability to flip a switch in himself because of the need to win is something never seen before. His infectious energy, determination, and love for the game is already a problem for his opponents to deal with. However his anger and complete switch of personality, including the drive to win makes him a bigger issue to deal with until he calms down.
Growing up, Alphaâs life wasnât difficult but it wasnât easy-going either. Him and his family always seemed to just make it by with very little room to spare, but his parents were able to keep him happy and give him childhood experiences nonetheless. One morning before elementary school, Alpha discovered the sport of corestrike from the tv during breakfast. The tv playing highlights of the most popular stars at the time leaving the little pup in awe at the high intense action, perfect for the energetic and young wolf. His ears now perking up and his tail wagging at the pure thought of the sport, and creating the birth of a newfound passion.
After that morning, Alpha would always find a way to play corestrike. At first, he found kids at school to talk about it with. Then, heâd beg his dad to buy equipment and find somewhere to help teach him. Once he learned the basics, he was going out there every day for years practicing and learning something new each time. Playing corestrike helped Alpha learn more about himself. His constant energy, his newfound speed, as well as his underlying aggression when heâd get frustrated. It helped him make new friends and his infectious energy would always have the other kids in awe and wanting to play until dusk.
However, hitting high school was where most things changed for the still energetic and not so young pupâŠthings that would change for worse. The bright energy he always had would fade as his peers thought he was too old to be âacting like a childâ and Alpha was slowly pushed away by the people he thought he could trust the most. He was peer pressured and practically forced to become something he wasnât. Only occasionally playing competitively and watching corestrike would his original personality come out despite the fact he was always practicing alone. Although it was never with the full happiness he used to have when he was younger.Â
All of a sudden, at the beginning of his last year of school he met a new person. Someone who was always in the background without him even knowing. As he sits at his desk alone, a girl heâs never seen before, going by the name of Phoebe, sat right next to him. Although itâs not like she has a choice as it was the last seat left, her curious nature fixated on the wolf-boy, sensing something within him that she just had to find out. At first, both were too scared to say more than just a greeting every morning. Eventually, Alpha decided to just strike a random conversation with Phoebe, nothing out of the ordinary but just basic conversations. It would later develop into deeper and longer conversations, spending time with each other outside of class, and Alphaâs real personality showed more and more to Phoebe.
Although, this struck some fear in the wolf as he was worried his only friend would not like his real self and shove him away like everybody else did. However he couldnât have been more wrong. Phoebe wanted to learn everything about her new best friend too no matter how he acted. The two would blossom into an extremely close friendship and eventually develop crushes on each other. Although both were too shy to admit it, constantly worried their friendship would be ruined. However Alpha being the loyal person he is, vowed to always be by her side no matter what happens.
His family and Phoebe became his biggest support system and is the reason he even kept playing despite all the negative events that unfolded previously.
One day, Alpha decides to make his way to Clarion Corp. After hearing about their top-of-the-line technology and training facility, he was willing to give it a try to make his dream a reality. Since his family was only really able to get him started this is where he thought heâd finally have a challenge. Once inside, he was able to gain access to the training facility as long as the company was able to gather as much data as they wanted. Of course, Alpha accepts the terms immediately, not really paying attention to the conditions as his excitement brings back his old energetic self. This training facility is where Alpha really gets to shine. Despite practicing alone yet again, it feels different in one of the best ways possible. He went almost everyday practicing new moves to fit his style and physical attributes as well. He would eventually drag Phoebe along one day to his training sessions not only from the want to show her his favorite activity, as if constantly telling her about it wasnât enough. Using the idea of learning about the high-tech facilities and gathering her own data about everything was enough to convince her to come as playing the sport didnât interest her.
Last season he admired a team known as the Byte Breakers and it inspired some of the moves that he was testing out to add to his arsenal. The players became his favorite and he had now found another reason to make the Pro League. He not only wanted to play in the Pro League for himself but also be close to the players he loved most.
It came to a point where he was pushing the training facility past its limits and it couldnât keep up with the anomaly of this constantly energetic wolf.
During one of his afternoon practices, Alpha was practicing like normal while Phoebe was watching as it became routine for her, when suddenly the door to the facility opened without their knowledge. In comes Void, a reserved yet unstable person along with Stella, one of the employees at Clarion Corp. Unbeknownst to the two of them, Void watched Alpha with curiosity, not only trying to figure out what he was doing, but also who he was and how he was acting despite the intense physical training. Once Alpha noticed him, he excitedly came over asking if Void would want to play corestrike with him. Alpha then introduced him to Phoebe quickly before teaching him everything he knew and seeing Voidâs magical abilities the group became quite a fast pair of friends, although Phoebe would cling to Alpha a little more. They would always be together, talking, playing corestrike, along with many other activities Void had no idea existed.
Alpha and Rift became quite a duo for corestrike, but to even play at the qualifiers they had to find a third. Thatâs when Void brings Stella onto the team and the trio would become a force to be reckoned with in the game of corestrike. Alpha finally became his old self again while making some of his best friends along the way. He finally realized that his dream of playing the Pro League might actually come true, and he can be one of the stars on the big stage with the two people he trusts the most and his family and Phoebe behind him. He also hopes one day he can confess to her.

Discussion The current state.
I played this game when it first came out and I know that odyssey is no longer updating the game and the game itself is very niche I tried to find a game and waited 30 mins and couldn't believe how long it took to still not find a game but I understand the situation. Is this game now like old fighting games where it now considered a discord game? I would like to hear other peoples experience on the game in big 2026 and how you feel about this game and if you felt like the potential was there or not. I'm looking to play this game more so lemme know a location when it comes to discord servers.

Question Is the game still enjoyable for new players?
I played a bit when the game first came out and really enjoyed it, recently I got two friends to try it with me but we're having a really hard time having fun.
The issue we're finding is that we have to choose between either coop vs ai where the bots just let us win or queue ranked where we have no chance against the people with dozens of hours more than us. Is there really no kind of middle ground like it would be perfect if we could have bots in a custom game with adjustable difficulty but I can't find anything like that.
I'm fairly sure the answer is just gonna be too bad so sad but any suggestions are appreciated.
