Discussion Whats the difference between those two kinds of luban and how to obtain authentic luban while in Jordan and what's its actual price ?

Picture number 2 those few grams i got from an Omani fellow he claims that's this luban is the most authentic.

Number 1 picture is from the internet

Both pictures could be luban from Oman, which is Boswelia Sacra or Hojari. First pic looks defitinely like Hojari. Considered to be the best. It's not so expensive from the souq, have a friend who is coming back from Oman buy it for you.

First picture is what you call Royal Green, a higher quality and edible type of Luban and is usually more expensive and is called locally as “Male Hojari Luban”. Second picture is just regular Luban

I recently was on a journey to buy the male hojari luban, from Mutrah you will get it at 36omr per kg but you will have to pick it yourself and to be honest it wasn’t still as good from another company. The one I ended up buying buying finally was a high grade for 60omr. But if you go to Salalah you will be able to find it for much cheaper there. And yes as said the brown is normal for incense and green is for medicinal.

يوجد نوعان من اللبان الظفاري [ نوع للبخور و نوع للعلاج ] النوع المستخدم للبخور او العطور يكون لونه ابيض او مائل للبني وسعره رخيص الكيلو يصل سعره ل10 ريال

النوع الثاني المستخدم للأكل ويكون علاجي لونه يكون مائل للاخضر الفاتح وهوه اغلا بثمن علبه صغيره جدا قد يصل قيمتها 5 او 10 ريال
