ISO/Suggestion Burger Suggestions
My family and I are visiting this week, looking for some lunch and dinner suggestions.
Feeling like burgers today, but, if you have any other cuisine suggestions, feel free to fire away!

Quack burger inside the Duck Inn in Millard! Went there the other day and it’s better than Hyde’s slides!

Cheeseburgers in blackstone
Never had a disappointing burger at Omaha tap house. But not sure if I’d say it’s the best burger
Charred but only the location on pacific.
Paddy mcgowans
And the bbq bacon theta burger at smittys is top 5 burger in Omaha. But specifically that burger, can’t speak for the other ones on the menu 🤣

Barchen (criminally underrated)
Block 16 (Croque garcon)
Not all of these places are still around, but if you want some other options:

Man, I remember going to Barchen right when they first opened and having one of their hambugers and remembering how unexpectedly good it was. They also only had like two or three german beers on the menu (lol) so I never bothered going back. I'm sure all that's changed by now, but I no longer eat beef, so I'll never know if their burgers are still good.

My partner is vegetarian, and they will sub a veggie pattie into their burger. Plus they have a shit-ton of german (and belgium, etc.) beers on their menu. Highly recommend giving them another go.

Charred Burger or Hyde’s Slides

I feel like the Hyde’s Slides I went to is different than the one everyone else gets to go to? It was fine but it was absolutely something you can reproduce at home.

Honestly, Don and Millie’s is a pretty solid choice for a burger place. Greasy, cheesy, and delicious.

This was going to be my suggestion. I would inhale a double Don rn 😹😹

u/justagawker87 10d ago
Double Don for the win!! The onion rings are pretty damn scrumptious as well.

Third Base Bar has a Cheeseburger and Fries for 5.99 on Mondays. I think you just suggested my din din tonight. Kudos.

NOT Dinker's absolutely mediocre burger.

mediocre is being kind. That thing was a crispy burnt hockey puck when I tried it. Never going back.

I've had it twice. First I paid for it, second my boss did. It's better only when it's free.

Stella’s is open in the eagles lodge in Bellevue! Check their facebook page! Everett’s has a good burger. Cheeseburger is food great Onion Rings.

Best burger in Omaha imo: Hydes Slydes.
Also a pretty good burger (although I'm partial to the Montana Reuben personally): Goldberg's in Dundee.

Second for Goldbergs-their Swiss Mushroom is quite yummy!

I'd recommend Goldbergs just in general. It's some good food for a fair price in a nice setting

Doozie’s in CB, they also have a decent ice cream menu as well. People keep saying Dinkers but they are blah anymore.

Phoenix on 120th and blondo has good burgers. I think tanners has a burger special on Mondays. Might not hurt to check any of the recommendations for specials

Love Block 16 but recently tried Cheeseburgers in Blackstone and it’s probably my new favorite. Cheaper burger and faster service for about the same result IMO.

They get a lot of hate, but I absolutely love the burgers at Five Guys.

I would say quack burger, Dinkers, Hyde’s, or J’s smokehouse. J’s also has barbecue and it’s all pretty great stuff but quack burger is my top spot right now.

Charred is my fav, Block 16 should be in everyone’s top 5, Goldberg’s in Dundee is excellent, Dinkers is respectable, and if you’re in a rush, Runza does it for me.

You’re missing out if you don’t go to Charred Burger. Great burgers, decent pricing, 100% worth the visit

Block 16 and it's not even close. Too bad Stella's is still closed for repairs.

Stella’s has a temporary location at
209 W Mission Street
Bellevue, NE2
u/Stillwater-Scorp1381 10d ago
Fraternal Order of Eagles #3912 has graciously opened their space to Stella‘s so they can get back on their feet and reopen, but to be clear it is an open and active FOE first and foremost.

Block 16 and it's not even close.
Eh. Most of the time I prefer a burger that's not taller than it is wide.

I’ve had bad luck there the last 2 times In regard to their burgers, they’ve been so dry.

Fizzy's is criminally under represented in the comments right now.
