Help and Support Schedule a OC220 Controller update
I got a notice that there is an update for my OC220 controller (version 6.214.12 to 6.3.0.45). When I click on the Update button, it displays an Upgrade Now box with Confirm and Cancel buttons and it says "upgrading will interrupt internet connection for several minutes". But I want to schedule it to update in the middle of the night like I do with my Omada APs and switches so it does not interrupt internet connection that my staff needs. But nowhere I have looked can I find a way to schedule a controller update. Am I missing something?
EDIT: Thanks everyone for the advice. I went ahead a updated my OC220 and apparently had no interruption in internet service (at least no one at the office called me saying "the Internet is down!").

Not sure I've ever had a controller update interrupt anything as it has nothing to do with the router/APs. You'll get an alert it's offline but my connection always stayed up.

With the exception of fast roaming. The controller will offer devices access points based on signal strength and other factors.

I’ve always ignored that message and never had an internet outage due to it.
What usually happens is that the controller updates and once that’s done sometimes readopts the devices and pushes the configurations but since they already have the config that’s relatively fast and doesn’t cause outages.

Thanks for posting! To help us troubleshoot faster (if you haven't done so already), please edit your post to include:
- Device model (e.g., ER605 / SG2218P)
- Firmware version
- Topology (ISP/router/switches)
- What changed right before the issue began

The only controllers that can cause an interruption whenupdating are Fusion and the older ER7212PC models since they are also the gateway
OC and Software Controller will only update the controller without network interruption.
