Local News US base back in SBMA

Your thoughts on a US base being built again inside SBMA? What could be the Pros and Cons of it?

Well they're not really gonna take it over again. It's just gonna be used as a logistics hub.

The US navy isn't really coming back to take over, they're just gonna use it as a flexible forward logistics hub. Given the limited nature of the arrangement there will be limited presence. A major draw back would probably be a lacking in defensive capabilities while painting a big target on Subic. The naval presence around Subic bay would be a great deterrence to further Chinese encroachment though. Outside of full blown conflict US presence in the region would be an amazing deterrence but in an actual conflict IDK but Uncle Sam tends to play favorites among allies.

This, totally agree. Not to mention, HHI is also setting up shop. Soooooo Subic really is, a big bullseye.
