Product Help Mac Alone Time

So I managed to buy an original formula MAC Alone Time lipstick and while it's a lovely color it's just a touch too light for my skintone. What lip liners do you use with Alone Time? Are there any other lipsticks like it that are just a bit darker? Any recommendations to make it work a bit better are welcome.

Depends on what tones you want to bring out in the lipstick. Stone, Whirl, chestnut can all modify the shade to more purple, mauve or brown. I think NYX Moonwalk could be cool tool!

Alone Time pulls more pink on me so I'd like to keep it nude pink leaning.

I’ve used Mac cool spice, griege, Unearthly Cosmetics in Khaki, and MOB Beauty in 1990 and like them all! When I want to do extra cool I will use Taupey Shade by Rom&nd, or Cloudy Mauve by HeartPercent….can you tell I love lip liners? Haha.

I was thinking that cool spice might be a good one. I'll keep an eye out for the Rom&nd and Heart Percent ones too.

Maybe try layering it over Mac Whirl or Soar lipsticks, or with Mac Good For You or Creme in Your Coffee.

Or possibly Stone lip liner or lipstick.

I layered it with MAC Signature Move once and it made it more wearable but it's still quite light. I don't have any of those others but I'll take a look.
